Kolb Park — Attraction in Indian Rocks Beach

BLUF - Incredible space all around but needs better parking options.

I really want to give this place 5 stars for everything it offers. But the parking issue is far too challenging.

Every space at the park is 5 stars apart from the parking options, that’s a 1 star at best.

Huge playground that is well maintained and great for kids. There’s a space for big kids 5-6yr+, and another area for smaller kids that would be great for 4-5yr olds+.

The ball field is wonderful and the games here are amazing. The field is in great shape and can accommodate a lot of people that would come to a local TBall or little league game.

Tennis Courts are fantastic and lots of folks use them. They’re always in use when we’re there.

Skate park with a half pipe! Pretty awesome. Lots of kids using this.

Bathrooms! Yes, they have bathrooms. No AC in them but, running water and are relatively clean.

Now for the parking… If you have an event here and try to get here for that, early or not, you’re likely not going to find parking here. This space is very close to the beach and I watched so many people unloading beach chairs, umbrellas, etc., and walking from the park area parking to the beach. Remarkably, there was nobody on the ball field and very few on the tennis courts and there was absolutely no parking. Even the side roads have signs posted that you can’t park on the street. It’s so bad that many folks choose to park in violation of these signs and I’ve never seen a parking ticket issued.

We didn't even know this park existed until Mikey at Westside Skate Shop recommended it. We went to check it out and we were pleasantly surprised! A skate park, basketball courts, a baseball field, 2 playgrounds ( in the shade.) A covered pavilion for birthday parties or other family get-togethers. One of the best parts was to discover the Art Center and Library!! The library has a touch screen game table so naturally my son Colton and I had to check it out! It is awesome!! We are hooked and definitely will be back in the near future. A new favorite place of ours for sure!! Cost is zero dollars, air conditioning is available and cold water in the library, and there is a variety and lots of things to do so it's a one stop wonder for the entire family and kids and adults of all ages and genders. Tip Bring a Pinellas County active library card and you can get one issued here for no charge. If you don't bring your physical card, there is a $25 fee if you want to obtain a library card as they are an independent facility. BUT... No worries, no card is required for entrance or to play on the game table....

I played pickleball here and had a great time. We just parked on the street next to the courts and didn't have an issue. There are 2 dedicated pickleball courts, along with 2 tennis courts that have pickleball lines and nets, which gives you an additional 4 courts to choose from. When we arrived, the 2 dedicated pickleball courts were occupied, but we were able to play on one of the tennis courts and still had a fantastic experience. The courts operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservations. If others are waiting, they ask that you don't play for more than an hour, which is a fair policy. Other amenities, like the playground, basketball court, and baseball field, also looked well-maintained...
