My teenage son and I took my his Android phone LCD screen to be replaced at Fix A Phone on June 1, 2016. I paid for the repair in advance with my credit card. After waiting over a week, we called to get an update. We were told the part they received was the wrong part and a new screen was being ordered and someone would let us know when the phone was repaired. I foolishly didn't keep track of the dates or excuses, but we pretty much went through the same scenario again, except this time no one would even answer the phone during business hours. We drove over on June 25 and were told they were once again sent the wrong part. When I said that we had already waited an unreasonable amount of time and that I was upset that we hadn't been called, the young man working that day called his boss and explained the situation and my son was given a free loaner phone. We were also assured that we would be called when the new part came in. We were never called. After several more weeks of back and forth, my older son offered to see what he could do, but he didn't get anywhere, either. On July 27, my older son got in touch with the same young man I had dealt with who gave us the loaner phone. He said the phone still wasn't fixed and something to the effect of "why are you so upset, the loaner phone is better than the one we're fixing?" to which my son replied something to the effect of, "No, it's not. And my little brother's stuff is on the phone you're fixing. Can I at least get a guarantee the phone will be fixed today?" He couldn't get a guarantee and the phone connection mysteriously dropped. My older son and I decided to drive over. The employee didn't deny it when my son explained who he was and "you hung up on me earlier". He explained that if we couldn't get the phone repaired by the end of the business day we wanted the phone back and a complete refund. The young man put him on the phone with his boss James, who refused to guarantee the phone would be ready and got really heated and asked my son why he was hassling him and how this wasn't his fault. When my son explained that eight weeks is an unreasonable amount of time to have to wait for a repair and any other business would have compensated us in some way, James said my son was "smoking crack". Later in the conversation that went nowhere, he called my son a crackhead. He also refused to refund the money for the repair. I eventually took the phone from my son, explained that I understood that James couldn't help that he'd been sent the wrong part, but that he should have figured out by now that he should have gone elsewhere for the part and that I wanted a refund and the phone back. He said the phone was in pieces and we'd have to wait for the technician to put it back together. I said I'd wait there for it. He said it couldn't be done by closing time. I said "then just give me the phone as it is and my refund". He told me he wasn't doing that because we agreed to have the phone repaired there and that he'd given my son the loaner. I countered that my son wanted his own phone with apps back and we'd waited long enough. Skipping a lot more back and forth, I finally told James that if he didn't return the phone right away and give me a refund I'd report him to the Better Business Bureau and the credit card company. He still tried to get out of it, but eventually gave in and we returned the...
Read moreThey stole $650.00. From my young 22 yr old daughter!!!! She was told if she paid for the phone in advance they would order her an Unlocked Galaxy S7 edge in pink gold. She was very excited because she really wanted the pink color and everywhere else only had blue, black or silver. She paid him in good faith, believing him to be reputable since his store front is in Sun Valley. After a week she got her phone,Yay, I was proud and happy for her, she had worked so hard for it! We live in the country and rely on Wi-Fi calling due to the lack of signal here. They knew it had to have the WiFi calling feature. They assured her it would! Lies!!!! She had her dream phone or so she thought, yet couldn't use it! At first we thought he had sold her the international version! We asked for her money back and were screamed at and told there was nothing wrong with the phone and they refuse to give her money back! The phone upon further investigation is a counterfeit! Three reputable phone companies have written statments to the fact that it is not a Galaxy S7 edge at all and not even made by Samsung! He has been nasty, disrespectful and beyond disreputable! He laughingly wants her to give him the phone back and when she does he will see about getting her another one! Unbelievable!!! If he wasn't a theif he would get her the real phone she ordered first and then ask her to return the fake! She has requested multiple times to have her money refunded only to be screamed and ranted at by a lunitic! If he does not refund her money, I will pursue criminal conterfieting charges and civil litigation! Please contact me if you would like to join my civil suit, I have 4 other people found on yelp reviews and google+ reviews that have already signed on! To take advantage of young people is about as dirty and low as a person can get! If he does not refund her money in full by Fri. My attorney will file our class action suit. Contact me if you have also been wronged by him, for information on joining our suit, it will cost you nothing but it will hopefully stop them from continuing to scam honest hard...
Read moreI have always went to fix a phone for repairs to my devices and my daughters device as well. Always been good service until this past Saturday. My daughter dropped her phone around 4 and I called who I thought was fix a phone around 3:55 and asked if it would be ok to bring her phone to have it fixed since it was close to 4. The gentleman on the phone say of course we have more customers in the store so we won’t be closing at 4 so come on. So I went to fix a phone and got there at 4:05. I walked in and this young guy told me that he was closed and couldn’t help me today. I told him that I had called and spoke to someone and was told that it was ok to come after 4. He said very rule you didn’t call here and I can’t help you today. I get that retail places close at certain times but there was no need to be rule. I left and called the manner that I thought was fix a phone which end up being CPR a cell repair store in Indian Trail. I went there and it was after the time that they closed and they still repair my daughter’s cell phone and did so very professionally. They also fixed it right in front of you instead of going behind a wall where you can’t see what they are doing to your phone. I won’t ever go back to fix a phone even after I have given them my business for several years. Thanks to fix a phone’s bad service I have now found a new local place to have my...
