My wife and I decided to order sushi Friday night and were looking for delivery. Shoku popped up and we were hesitant because we had never been before and hadn't heard much about it but we gave it a shot anyways. WOW - this is my new jam. When I opened the containers of sushi, I was blown away with the amount of fish in each roll. You can see the one roll in the picture that has very little rice and a giant chunk of fish and the entire order was that way. I could not believe how fresh and how big the pieces of fish were. We liked it so much we went there for dinner the following night.
Now dinner wasn't the same experience as we had when we ordered delivery. They fish was still excellent and massive. We ordered the boat for two and everything came out quick and as ordered. The pieces of sashimi were huge chunks and were great, overall. The salmon was frozen and icy in the middle but the rest was perfect. The rest of the rolls were okay but not what I would have ordered. There was alot of imitation crab used which would not have been my preference however, the chef's wouldn't have known that since I...
Read moreWanted to like it but... Everything was bland or bad. Ordered miso soup - seaweed tasted old and chewy, tofu was just gross and mushy(we like Miso). The Gyoza was deep fried instead of pan fried which made it taste over done and bland. The sauce they paired it with was not traditional and we just didn't like it. Ordered the Sweetie Roll and King Roll. Both were bland as can be. The rolls looked nice and fresh, but we couldn't eat them they were so bad. Even with soy, you couldn't cover up that they just had poor flavor. Told the waitress we didn't like each dish and got a shrug. The days following have been rough. Not recommended and won't be back. we did not finish anything, sent everything back, paid the bill in full. Even had to get our own plates to eat try the Gyoza. Nothing good about this...

Consistently good food and good service. Tried a lot of different sushi here over the past year. Never disappoints. Favorite is Shaggy Dog roll, but it's all great. Reliable place to eat, to take others, and to safely explore the many sushi options out there. Popular hibachi and teriyaki dishes available too.
Your choice of seating includes cozy booths (only 6 or so), regular 4-top tables, high-tops, patio seating and bar seating. Yes, it actually has a full bar. Try the chilled peach sake wine. Won't disappoint,...
