T.J. Maxx — Local services in Indianapolis

I visited this location on July 3rd, 2025, at approximately 7:00 PM, hoping for a quick and pleasant shopping trip. However, as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an overwhelmingly foul odor wafting from the men’s section. To put it mildly, it smelled as if someone had decided that using the restroom was simply too mainstream and chose the floor instead.

The scent was so strong that I genuinely questioned whether I had mistakenly walked into a poorly maintained public restroom rather than a retail store. It lingered in the air with such intensity that I found myself holding my breath and speed-walking through aisles like I was training for an Olympic event.

While I understand that accidents happen and stores have off days, I truly hope management addresses this issue promptly. Shopping should not feel like an exercise in testing one’s lung capacity and gag reflex...

We were waiting in line to check out, and we were next in line, but there were only two cashers as we were waiting the casher that was now available at lane 5 looked at us and turn off the lane leaving only 1 person, but she did not leave to go to break or anything, so we where confused.the line was getting longer as we waiting even longer, so another girl jumped on to help us. Another coworker asked the girl who turned of her lane light why she jumped off the casher lane, but I guess she didn't knew that we spoke English, so she told her coworkers the reason she jumped off was because she did not want to take us. This place was very clean and very packed with people. They were shopping too. No one was rude or mean. The employees were kind and offered assistance if you needed it. They have everything from dog treats (ya) to cloths for them (ya-ya) the cloths were at a great price. The purse area was packed with people which I could understand with the great prices they had. Loved how they had there shoe department set up. It was by size. So all you have to do is find your size by the signs and just start looking. No fuss. Very neat, nothing dropped on the floors.
