The Cove Ingleside — Local services in Ingleside

One star only because I can’t give them a lower rating. By them I mean GVA and Sheila in particular. The staff is great, they’re very friendly and helpful. I love the maintenance and leasing office staff. My issue is with upper management. Ever since GVA bought the Cove, it has gone down the drain. They removed keypad locks that were extremely convenient and the entrance gates were broken down for months before they were fixed. Only after numerous tenant complaints and vehicle break ins did they fix the gates. Now we have a dispute about rent money owed to us and Sheila refuses to answer calls and e-mails to discuss solutions to the problem. Sheila has also made numerous appointments to speak to my wife about the issue, but never follows through and leaves us waiting for her call. We then came to find out that rather than call us and resolve the issue, Sheila decided to go on vacation. We were supposed to be refunded in 30 days, and it’s been over 90 days. We have threatened a lawsuit, but GVA and Sheila don’t seem to care. Let’s just say so long as GVA owns the Cove, you should...

Maintenance does not fix things regardless of how many Times you call. Dishwasher does not dry the dishes and it leaks and the dryer does not dry the clothes which makes the electricity bill go up. And the the ants in the apartment. For 1200 a month you would think it would be a better place to live. So disappointed!!

10/9/2018 - their response seems to be generic for everyone. I have been to the office and also put in work orders. The doors to the laundry area are falling off because they were installed backwards but they tell us that we broke them. The people are DISUSIONAL!! if they think these apts are worthy. Yes we have had ants roaches to the point that they are biting my babies. They seriously do not care. just put in more work orders for light fixtures that wont stay on. Bathroom fans do not work oh and from move in my dishwasher still does not dry the dishes.

So please office personnel please just fix the problem and stop sending your maintenance guy to take pics yes its broken yes you need to fix it. No i'm not going to pay for a plummer to fix the...

My mom lives in the apartments, and every time I come visit her it’s always so beautiful and pristine. I’ve never seen a place so well kept. There’s literally no other place I would ever recommend anyone to rent because it would look like a dump in comparison. I came down last week to visit her, and I was greeted by the sweetest person I’ve ever met. My mom struggles with some memory issues which causes her to be easily agitated. She wanted to stop by the office after we went to lunch to see if her Amazon package came in—according to her account she didn’t order anything, so it obviously didn’t arrive. She was getting a little feisty with Heidi about it, which would put any person on edge... but not Heidi. She handled my mom’s concern with the upmost professionalism. By the end of it, my mom left smiling and forgot about her “order.” Thank you to Heidi for showing so much patience and care to us when she didn’t have to. You’ll be attending our Thanksgiving dinner in my place because I can’t handle her...
