Normally I do not leave reviews (good or bad) but I must brag about this employee Danny that works at the Boiling Springs, SC GameStop. Before I even went into the store I called and had tons of questions, she never once got annoying with any of the questions I had. She was extremely patient over the phone and had an answer to ever question. It felt like she had alot of knowledgement towards all my questions. When I arrived my son had TONS of things to trade in, which I had already told her before getting there. I wanted to make sure that we dealt with her because I spoke to her already. She was extremely helpful in every single way. I brought both of my children ( 10 & 6 ) so they were a little hyper, not once did she seem annoyed by them. She stayed focused, helpful, and calm. I appreciated every single thing she did. She suggested many things to my son and even talked to my daughter about other things in the store. My son ended up getting over $600 in trade in, and trust me when you see what all they have to do for these trade ins you would know how much work they have to do. I was extremely impressed with her and her kindness. I have never really had a negative experience there, but I’ve never had such a great experience. There was also another employee ( not sure of his name ) but he was also helped and very kind to my children. No how many times i apologized to them of how loud they were and how long we were there for. I will continue going to to this GameStop because of Danny, she is great at what she does there and deserves the appreciation for everything she helped us with that day. Read moreI've been trying for weeks to solve an issue where I pre ordered the game atlas fallen in Nov. Never recieved a notification it was released. I stop in and they don't have my copy and come to find out the system is telling them it's not down as a pre-order on their screen but they can clearly see when and where I paid for it. Since it's not in the system correctly they refuse or can't give me the game I paid for nor give me a refund. Tell me I need to call corporate. So I do. And of course I end up talking to someone who does not understand English very well. Has no clue what I'm telling her. She then tells me she's writing an email to someone who will take care of me and to wait 72 hrs. Well it's been almost a full week and all we got was a survey email. Nothing in response to our issue. Try calling the store we pre purchased from to see if we can sit down with a manager and figure this out. But of course no matter how many times I call they won't answer their phones. I'm at my wits end. Hopefully we can resolve this or we will have to take drastic measures for theft. Can't take peoples money and refuse to deliver the product!! After this we will cancel our membership and take our business elsewhere!! So disappointed. Been a loyal customer for over 20 years. So done. Especially since this is not the first issue, it's just been the worst one....
Read moreThis is by far the worst game stop I've ever been in. The lady employee that's working today is always rude. I went to return my xbox controller that's under warranty. When I purchased the warranty I was told all I needed was the purchase sticker to return it. Then she says that was the old policy I don't care if it's the old policy it was the policy that I paid for. So she didn't give me a new controller she gave me a pre-owned which was a different price. But a couple of months earlier I went to return my sons controller and they wouldn't honor the trade warranty for his controller because it was a different price even though it was more expensive then the controller they had there. So they'll do the trade in if it benefits them. And my other run in with this lady she really asked for my ID when purchasing a game I'm almost 40 years old alot of gray hair like really do I look like a teenager.
