My husband called to make sure they had fresh shrimp available. The Korean woman that answered was a hoot, joking around about driving to the ocean if we want fresh shrimp. we arrived and had to wait for 2 customers to complete their order. Another two came in just before we left, so we felt like we were in the right place. The store is nothing fancy but those are usually the best places to get good food at a good price. She also sold the different brands of boil seasonings, cocktail sauce, horseradish and such. If she only had the potatoes and corn, it would have been a one stop shop for us.

The shrimp was absolutely amazing! My husbands father brings us gulf shrimp from Pensacola FL when he visits, so we are a bit spoiled when it comes to good quality shrimp. I can honestly say the shrimp from this establishment was equally good. We asked for 3 lbs and she specifically showed us the scale which said 3.2 lbs. Based on the most recent 1 star review, we decided to weight it when we got home to confirm the accuracy of the scale, and validity of the mans review. BOGUS REVIEW. It was exactly 3.2 lbs. We paid $32 for shrimp and 1 bag of LA boil seasoning. I would have paid more based on the quality.

The owner (same woman who answered the phone) was hilarious. She has a lot of pep and sass and we enjoyed chatting with her. She's not rude at all and was very appreciative of our business. I can see that someone without a sense of humor would this she's rude, but she was a really nice lady. She made our experience so much better, and we have definitely found our seafood market. We live over in the Sandhills area so it will be about a 30 minute drive one way for us, but...

This was a respectable market back in the day, I went here on 7/10/19. I was treated like I had never been in a market before. Asian Owned, a smiling Asian lady, who by the way starts off with broken English but is fluent, starts trying to confuse you by telling compliments and acting like the silly China woman while setting you up for the drop! I bought four clusters of King Crab legs, that the equivalent of two King Crabs less the body. And I purchased one pound of Scallops 1lb. She has a scale that is not digital, tells you to look at the scales dial on the front where you are standing. She places the legs on the scale, now the dial reads 3 1/2 lbs. She however says to look on here dial that reads 4 lbs! Now the whole time shes talking loud cussing, making confusing comments about the scale being calibrated last week. Basically you are so ready to get out of there that you say ok just hurry up. She weighed my Scallops and it was just over a lb. My total bill? $100.00! Its B.S.! The King Crab although its supposed to be frozen it's not supposed to have ice stuck to the outside of the shell adding weight, and her main focal point is to get your wallet empty . Fraud, thievery, go here if you enjoy have your intelligence insulted and you like throwing your money away. I dont give it a star for a rating, I give it a pile of Dong! It should have a sting ran on it because she is stealing people blind. Dont be fooled by idiodic smile, shes...

I called to price oysters for an event 4 months form now. She kept talking over me telling me "Dont do that!" over and over again that I couldnt even get the words out that I was just checking on prices and I was not ordering yet. She hung up on me. I tried to call back because I had more questions. I figured it may have been an accident. I called back 3 times and the line picked up and hung up each time. I clicked on these reviews and saw that she hangs up on people all the time and then keeps hanging up when they call back. So i realized this is something she does all the time to people. There are other seafood places in town... why give your business to someone so rude.. i suggest giving business to an establishment that appreciates their customers. One thing is for sure.. when I do buy oysters 4 months from now, it wont be from St Andrews Seafood Market. Clifton's has better prices and the owner was very polite and accommodating over the phone to all of my questions. Will probably buy from them because of his customer service. I see some reviews on here saying the owner is great and hilarious. I dont find how rude she was today...
