If I could leave a zero star I would. First I found this biz on etsy where they only had 3 yards of a fabric I wanted, so I contacted them and surely they had more on their website! Amazing I thought. It took me a few weeks to sort out when my upholsterer was available but by then "Oksana" had texted me to offer me a discount on the fabric. Amazing!! When I went to check out the price was $2 more per yard but whatever the service had been amazing but thats where it ends. About a week after purchasing the fabric I get another text telling me that the shipping was going to be $50 more than what I originally paid ($31) to me this seemed really strange to ask someone after they bought something to pay more and whoever was texting me said that they couldn't cover the costs because they already took a loss on the fabric. I was confused as to why this cost was being passed on to me and explained that I had over paid by $10 but didn't dispute this. Somehow the agent/Oksana got the price waived and the fabric was on its way. This week I get an invoice from UPS for $500 which is more than the fabric costs to begin with because somehow the commercial invoice submitted said that my purchase was $1600 USD when it was $400 Canadian. I obviously contacted the company and informed them that this whole process has been a headache and asked for some type of compensation. I was again told that they made only $80 on my sale and could not give any discount or help with the import fees which they screwed up. I was then told that they would no longer be sending any clarification to UPS or dealing with me. What a joke. You've wasted my time and cost me more money than this has been worth.
Correction: I have no problem with the price I paid for the fabric and I have records of you contacting me offering a price reduction for the record. I am well aware of currencies and how they work and your website is in fact in Canadian dollars and the issue isn’t with the price to begin with. Why offer discount only to use it against me by saying you only made a certain amount of money on my purchase? Nowhere does your shipping say estimated after the item has been purchased and nobody contacted me to let me know this may be the case. Besides who charges more after an item has been paid for? Like I said if you were not going to comply with sending the appropriate info to UPS customs then I was going to take appropriate action. Also asking for compensation for the mistake on your end seems entirely reasonable to me. It was your mistake. Make it right but apparently you’d rather argue over the internet and slander me. Be better. Google reviews should be and honest representation of your interaction with a business. I have said my piece and your lies...

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service provided by Fabric Bistro. As someone knee-deep in a DIY reupholstery project for my dining chairs, I hit a major snag when I realized I was short on fabric for the fourth chair. Besides a store full of various upholstery weight fabrics, they have vinyls, samples, swatch books galore, leathers and to my surprise, wall paper! When l learned not only do they make custom pillows supply upholstery service, they make outdoor cushions, various window shading styles (like Roman shades) and custom drapery. A serious one stop shop.
Oksana knows those fabrics. I especially appreciated that when l was there, Oksana respected my vision (much appreciated Oksana). She was accommodating. l was quite satisfied and impressed.
The atmosphere was pleasant and un-intrusive, yet help was available. (Truthfully, the store can get busy, so you might have to wait your turn but it's worth the wait.)
The added plus from this store is that they offer mid range materials to suit a variety of budgets and not just high end fabrics.
I wish l knew how to download pictures of their merchandise but l don't know how. You'll just have to let curiosity take you there to see for yourself.
