The first time I had Momo was in Boulder, Colorado where there is a large population of various Himalayan people. I grew up in Plano, but now work in Fort Worth, where through my coworkers I found out there is a large Nepali population in the area. So I was excited to find many places that serve Momo. I tried this place first and I was not disappointed!
They have various sauces for Momos but I think the plain pan seared one is the best. A momo is similar to a Chinese dumpling, but the meat is spiced with various flavors you find in South Asian cuisine like cardamom. If you want more kick, you can get the chili sauce momo. If you ever had chili chicken from an Indian restaraunt you know the sauce. A spicy sweet and sour sauce with bell peppers and onions It isn’t my thing, but as I said their plain momo are divine and a great price.
We also got a goat skewer meal with puff rice, pickle and veggies. The meat was delicious, puff rice is good to mix with sauce or curry. The pickles are EXTREMELY pungent. I like it, but just a warning if you aren’t used to the flavor it will wake you up. Think of like a blue cheese that has been fermented or Japanese natto. It is very funky. So it may not be your thing. Everything was delicious but I wish it came with some more veggies besides 1 piece of onion and 3 piece of cucumber. Or at least 3 skewers of meat instead of 2.
We also got veggie curry, which was ok. It was a bit thin (seems to be the norm in Himalayan style curries) and lacked depth. It was really the only disappointing thing. Overall this place is good, but 99% of it is because of the momo. Like I said the meat was delicious, but the portion sizes are a bit lackluster. I’ll certainly come back for...
Read moreWe love momos! I have grown up eating these with my grandmother, mother, etc! Basically a family favorite. After moving here we missed the authentic taste of momos that we would get on the streets of India, so researched and found this place. We came here with lots of uncertainty but were taken aback by the flavor and authenticity of the food! We loved it! Came here and tried almost everything from the menu and brought our family two weeks later! We live 50 mins away so you can imagine how much we loved it if we traveled that far! We tried the various preparations of momos they offer (we also had the jyanmara which sadly wasn’t spicy and tasted more like pickle was mixed in), the noodles, fried rice, meat on a stick, and few drinks like the masala coke (which I may not purchase again) and the masala chai. Only thing which I didn’t really like was the fact that the tomato chutney they give is very mild and if you want the spicy one you have to ask them for it. The spicy chutney makes the experience...

Sonia, our server, was excellent. She explained each dish in detail and highlighted their unique flavors. The menu has a wide variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
We tried the Tikka Momo, which was spicy and flavorful, and the Sadheko Momo, which was tangy and delicious. The Chowmein noodles were perfectly seasoned and satisfying. The Momos were the highlight—flavorful, unique, and generously portioned.
Soft Nepalese music in the background added to the charm. Online delivery orders were flowing, showing how popular this spot is.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week, mostly until midnight, and stays open until 2 a.m. from Thursday to Sunday, making it perfect for late-night food.
Cafemandu delivers an exceptional experience with great food, excellent service, and great value. Highly...
