I'm not even 1% Asian but after being a weeb (who am I kidding I'm still a weeb) for most of my youth I am very aware of Asian cuisine. I was feeling homesick (Mexico) and couldn't find anywhere to eat. And when that happens I always lean towards Asian food and this little hole in the wall is what I didn't know I needed.

It's mostly Japanese but you'll find some Korean and Chinese inspired dishes here too. First time here we ordered sushi, udon noodles and some ramen. I don't have anything bad to say about the food I ate but as soon as we got our food (which if you do come here you grab a menu and then order at the cashier) we saw that most of the popular dishes were rice bowls. The one that really caught my eye (if I saw correctly) was the tonkatsu rice bowl. While I was eyeballing the other dishes coming out I also spotted a beef bulgogi... I'm not gonna lie, kinda felt bad I hadn't ordered that instead. Lol.

I'm definitely coming back for a rice bowl and some beers...

My husband came across a photo of their ahi tuna salad and decided to place an order for pick up. I was skeptical at first because I'm picky about ahi and only like the ahi tuna salad at Houstons restaraunt. I was beyond impressed and highly recommend! Their tuna salad is just as good as Houstons if not BETTER ! The portions are generous, the ahi was perfectly seared, the avocado was fresh and bright green and the lettuce was crisp. The salad also includes asparagus which was the best asparagus I have ever had. The asparagus has the perfect flavor and crunch at the end. The dressing was also amazing ! Im So happy my husband came across this place.. I bet their sushi is just as good. Oh and on top of that it was all ready in 10 - 15 minutes ! Cheers and amazing job to lastnights chef working around 9:00 on Saturday 7/25/20.Happy to be able to support this local business while in the midst of...

I usually don't give reviews, but when I do there's a problem with the establishment. This is my first time here and will be the last. I went to Maki boy for lunch due to the good reviews on google. I ordered spicy sauce udon as in picture.

Udon was ok, i would rate it 3 out of 5. However, I went back to work and it was around 3 pm ish when things went bad. I felt nausea, and vomited 5 times. I had to stop working and kept running back and forth to the restroom. My colleagues kept asking if I were Ok and my face looked completely pale.

I ended up vomiting until nothing left, but bile. I went home taking bismol and only drank electrolyte water. This morning I feel better and was sure I had food poisoning from Maki boy as that morning I didn't have anything but a banana.

To Maki manager, please preserve your food properly and do not serve spoiled...

This place is a combination of the Japanese and Korean food. The sushi was good but the Korean spicy pork was just okay. This was my first visit and I was a bit confused whether it was a self service or full service restaurant. It turns out to be a semi-self service meaning that you would take the menu from the register, find your own seats then order your food and pay at the register. You would pick up your own drink and side dishes. However, staff would bring food at your table. It seems to me that the management applies a “stay in the middle” strategy to its operations and food items. In my view, it is not a good approach because it would be hard to stay in mix markets to remain competitive. They practice social distancing and staff is very friendly. I would give this place a second try in the future and will update my review accordingly. Lots of free parking.

Went today and placed an order to go. There was only one table before me. Other patrons came in after me and ate their food there and left. Waited patiently for 40 minutes before finally asking them to cancel the food order that wasn’t ready. They kept saying they were waiting on an order, that was 10 minutes prior. They said they don’t do refunds. I told them to just give me what was ready so I can leave. Opened my order and the chicken teriyaki didn’t even have the sauce. I will NEVER go back. They can keep the money that I gave cuz it's the last time. How do you serve the people after you when you haven’t even taken care of the people you already had? Just to mention, it was a fried rice they were saying wasn’t ready, but that was in the bag.
