I just want to take the time to let people know Irwindale Cycles is the place to go for all your bike needs. Why? For starters i knew nothing about bikes. I took in my Fuji Roubaix 2.0 which I bought from a previous owner. After taking it in for a popped rear tire which was super cheap i learned that the bike needs to be measured to your size. For $25 they adjusted my seat which was killing me, adjusted the size of the seat, got my legs measured in order to get maximum power to the pedals, and had the stem adjusted. After a quick test run i felt my legs being worked out better, i had less strain on my neck, and my bike seat was no longer killing me. I highly reccomend that ANYONE riding a bicycle get their measurements and fitting done here it really makes a difference in your cycling experience and it's only $25. Save up and get your fitting done properly. I can't stress how important getting the bike measurements done to your body helps. It's under new ownership so they have different and newer bikes. Come...
Read moreAwesome service. I commute daily on my schwinn and decided to stop by since it's only about a mile away from work. I needed a couple of tubes because i kept getting flats. My first visit, we ended up chatting for about 30min about my entry level road bike. The next few visits for tubes, my issue with flats was apparent, so he (walter) offered a solution. He recommended some puncture resistant tires. I bought them and he installed at no extra cost. Installed them as i waited (i was on my lunch break) and even adjusted my brakes to sit properly.
Last week, i made a stupid decision that got me sandwiched between a car and a fence. My bike was all twisted up and required some work. He trued my wheels and replaced some spokes same day. The great thing is that he lent me a bike to get to work and back meanwhile.
The previous owner was not welcoming or helpful, so i hadnt been to this shop in years. I was glad to find out that it was under new ownership and the experience then was completely opposite of...
Read moreTotally impressed with the customer service. My husband and I left our bike outside for a few years because we had no room in our shed. It was rustic and totally worn out. I almost had the trash men take it.
One day I visited Irwindale Cycle to meet a friend who bought a BIANCHI there because I was shopping for a new bike. Long story short, on of the owners Norma encouraged me to bring my bike in and said she will make it good as new. Her advise is for me to practice in my old bike before buying a new one to give me time to decide the type of bike I really want since my friend and I were thinking of upgrading. So I went back a couple of days later. Norma said to come back in a week. Lo and behold, when I saw my bike I did not recognized it.... lol!
Today, I am loving my bike, training for a future virtual fun race and researching which next bike to purchase. But one thing for sure, My husband and I are keeping our oldies which we purchased back...
