The Preserve — Local services in Island Park

The toiletries and towels were generous and of good quality. Finding the property without GPS is challenging and connection in the area is spotty at best. I had chosen the site due to location outside of Yellowstone and close enough to drive. Unfortunately, the following experience rendered a poor rating: the WIFI did not work, nor did the T.V. and this information was reported to a cleaning staff who reported it to someone the day after my arrival, and there was no response. In regard to privacy, the occupant's last name is written on a white board on the door (probably to inform cleaning staff when check-out is) and my 2nd night there children were throwing rocks at my cabin with no management on site to which I could report. Perhaps the most disconcerting was the lack of communication. My cell could not be used with WIFI so the text did not get through to an individual whose name is Jake and purportedly is responsible for the property, yet I did email him upon my return (2 weeks ago) and he has yet to respond. We tried to book one of the cabins through VRBO, but due to issues with the VRBOs website, there were errors with the booking and we were charged multiple times for multiple cabins, with no confirmations and no way to try and cancel/get refunded. We contacted VRBO customer service multiple times, and although our interactions with them were pleasant, we got nothing resolved. Since there was no confirmation, according to them, the reservation did not exist even though we were charged for it. So we reached out to the host of the cabins directly and they figured everything out and corrected everything for us with in a day! So although we haven't stayed at theses cabins -yet- I wanted to express how wonderful and helpful the hosts are. They responded to my initially message proptly and resolved the issues quickly! Worst customer service ever and I am so disappointed. Online it says the amenities has kitchen and thought about bringing uncooked foods to cook there, they do have grilling but they don’t have any kitchenware so we ended up not cooking. I called the host and asked for help to see if they have some pots or utensils for us to borrow and she said they don’t have it but even if they do she cannot do anything about it since they’re not in the office anymore. Coffee maker is NOT working, we woke up; checked out without coffee to start the day. AC is not working, we are all up all night, tired when we are on the road driving.
