Cap'n Odies — Local services in Jacksonville

I have been to Cap'n Odies a few times over the past 3 years and have had a good time. I went there saturday 11/02/2013. The Bouncer Big Mike told my wife a table was avalible so she cleaned up the table of empty cups and full ashtrays, Later a guy came up screaming at her telling her she stole their table. He pushed and hit her ,then the bouncer escorted her to the other side of the bar. When I returned from the restroom I found her sitting in the corner. I asked her what happened. When she told me I went to talk to the guy then he and 3 of his buddies attacked me . They beat me down and kicked me the bouncers finally threw them out.After I finally was able to get up my left eye was swollen shut...bottom line ..stay away...

This bar used to be my go to bar to play pool, the environment was always chill and the people there were always nice but as soon as I walked in with a group with black people in it, the lady there immediately treated us very rudely upon checking ID’s, she claimed that we were being disrespectful towards her even though everyone complied with giving her their ID’s and she then tried to claim that I was to young because I was born in 2002 which makes absolutely no sense, since I’m 22 years old and I was a regular there. Went with some friends, three of us were regulars and the rest were there for the first time. The bartender demanded that we all show our IDs as we walked in, which never happened before. We complied and all showed her our IDs, which she said that one of my friends (who was a regular) was underage and couldn't be there, even though he is 22.
