I have done business with double r for probably close to 20 years and I am absolutely stunned by the way my last order was taken care of. I asked to speak to the manager and got the owner and she basically wouldn’t let me finish talking and hung up. They charged me an extra $5 to have an extra item sent to the same place and didn’t spell one of the children’s name correctly. With all this being said, I was sending to a child that has has been diagnosed with cancer again and to his sister to try to cheer them up. I did asked if the order could be delivered after 3:30 so they would be the their to receive it after school. She did do that. When I asked about the extra charge she said they normally charge extra for specific delivery times. Ok, that’s all she had to say when I placed the order. I was astonished to find out that the owner actually took the order and didn’t make sure that the invoices were sent correct. I had to call to make sure that 2 separate items were sent. I paid $70 for two candy smiley face bowls plus tax and delivery. So, they made money. When I tried to tell her that I thought the extra delivery charge for delivery was tacky she said she pays her people $10 to $12 dollars an hour. She did refund me the delivery charges and I tried to say don’t worry about it, I’ll pay it. She didn’t give me a chance and hung up on me. I cannot believe that anyone would conduct business that way, especially the owner!!! She did say the first time I called she had a new person working and that they had a really busy day. I understand that but, she is the owner and they have been in business for 50 years. You would think she could handle the pressure. I would have given 0 stars if that was an option. I will never do business with them ( Virginia) again and none of my family or friends...

Called & was told it was shown as delivered, the school said they never received.. the shop then says to come in & they will “make it right”.. went to the shop & the package was in the back, dated to be delivered on 2/15 (makes sense considering that every other valentine was delivered on 2/14, VALENTINES DAY, right??) AND was addressed to be delivered to the wrong school. Middle School SOUTH. My son goes to North. No partial refund or offer of a discount on next service.. I in no way expect anything for free but this shows absolutely no courtesy for the customer. These packages are ordered to be delivered at the school for the surprise for the child. At this point I paid $50 for a six pack of coke & $5 worth of candy/chips.
