As a Jacksonville native, I wish I had known about Jas Computers and Sales much earlier.
I have a beloved and somewhat rare high end Asus laptop that I use for work. I purchased it because it exceeded my requirements and needs for working not only in Revit, but also Adobe’s creative suite. The highlights of this laptop included the 17.3” touchscreen, aluminum casing, and the ability to easily alter the internal components as technology advanced. Plus the (at the time) fantastic NVIDIA graphics card and intel i7 processor. I refer to her as “the beast” because she ran so fast and was able to keep up with my heavy workload.
Fast forward to March 8, when (my error) The beast became an aluminum potato because the motherboard fried. As I am housebound, my 82 year old father dropped the potato off at the original place of purchase, we waited over a week to finally be told that it was too old and it was less expensive to purchase a new laptop than to replace the motherboard. Due to my knowledge of the laptop itself and the cost of purchasing a motherboard (hard to find, but easily done), I requested that he bring it home, and I began searching for a Asus computer repairman and stumbled upon Jas. I left a frazzled voicemail and expected to hear back in a few days. I was surprised to have my call returned only a few hours later by Jas, himself. I was kindly and politely informed that it would be an easy fix and i also found that he knew far more about my laptop than I did (which it very unusual), and he took the time to explain the various releases and asked all of the right questions. I was immediately put at ease and he gained my trust. Which was almost non-existent by then due to the previous responses by the other techs who had all told me to recycle it and get something new. My budget put me in the range of a low end iPad. Which… was giving me severe anxiety.
After calming me down with is kindness, philosophy on computers (fix it, upgrade it, don’t replace it), and impressive knowledge; I requested a quote for not only replacing the motherboard(which was all I though would fit in my budget) but also parts and labor to upgrade the beast to a modern turbo charged version (shockingly still in budget).
I had already ordered a replacement motherboard and my father dropped the aluminum potato off at Jas’s office the following day. The parts Jas ordered to upgrade her arrived days before the motherboard I had ordered, and he quickly upgraded her while we waited on it.
The day the motherboard arrived, I had my turbo charged modern beast returned within hours. I had forgotten how wonderful she was and how fast and easily she ran. As I was worried about messing up the masterpiece, I did ask a few questions after she was returned. He was incredibly helpful and within a short time I too was upgraded in my knowledge of Windows 11 and confident again with my Beast.
Jas was timely, went above and beyond, his pricing was excellent, and he under promised and over delivered. My only regret is that I hadn’t taken her to him first, and that I had not entrusted him to order the motherboard because I delayed his work for an extra few days. It was returned immaculate, in perfect working order, and the care and detail he put into fixing my “useless and antiquated (over 3 year old) laptop” was obvious.
He has a client for life and I highly recommend him and Jas Computers to anyone who requires maintenance, a rebuild, or any of his other services. I cannot thank him enough for the quality, patience, and talent that was put into fixing and upgrading my beloved and required laptop.
I was told by three separate computer experts that it was a throwaway. Jas fixed it and upgraded it for less than the price of a low-end tablet. 10/10 on service, expertise, customer...

I discovered this shop when it was located in a building on Normandy Blvd, situated near the back of the building which was named as a Farmers Market, a small building which had several small businesses about 14 of them, operating various businesses inside of this building, located diagonally across from the Winn Dixie store. The owner of this particular business, JasComputers, is a young man by name of Joe, who was such a delight and on top of being so extra friendly, he knew what he was doing, but even as importantly as someone in any kind of repair business really knowing what they are doing, Joe had and still has something that's VERY extra special, something I really love and that is, he has the the best computer repair rates of any computer repair business I've ever done business with. On top of his very competent repair skills he also sells top notch virus-free refurbished laptops. I have the very first laptop that I purchased from his shop and it's STILL working YEARS later (Windows 7, one of the very BEST of the Windows operating systems).
Joe is one of the very BEST of the best in what he does in his shop. He's very friendly, kind-hearted, respectful, and a very unusually compassionate gentleman; AND he is a very humorous fellow too! This review is posted by one of his loyal customers of SEVERAL years--name is Edrena A.
I very highly recommend him for repairs as well as for purchasing any of his very affordable, very excellently refurbished laptops, and other electronics, especially for people like myself (VERY POOR!).
Thanks Joe for your JasComputers repair services...thank you for how you treat ALL of your customers, and for all that you do for us. God's greatest blessings to you. I sincerely hope and pray that you don't take your business location from where it it's now located, especially if it would mean moving all the way over to the other side of town. We need you here.
BTW, I will be coming in VERY soon to see if you may have a refurbished laptop, Windows 7 ONLY for sale. See you soon...
Read morePlease if you have ANY computer issues call this place! The first week of my spring semester in college, I was closing my computer and the hinge broke, screen cracked, a corner of the screen shattered and screws fell out of my computer. I have a HP ENVY laptop for reference! This is the WORST thing that can happen to a college student. When I was searching for places to get my computer fixed Jas Computer Repairs & Sales in Jacksonville is the ONLY place that picked up the phone to provide me service. When I went to this store for the first time not only was looking it FREE (most places I’ve been to require $50+ to look at your computer) everyone was so professional and respectful to me. After ordering parts, it took one day to fix, I’ve never gotten any immediate service results in any other store. I’ve never been so happy with the end product like this before. I am so grateful I found this shop, if I have any other issues I won’t even hesitate to call Jas Computer Repairs & Sales! Thank you so much for being professional, having good communication with me, and over the top work! You really do not understand how hard it is to not use a computer in college! Please please PLEASE do not hesitate to call...
