The food and drinks were great! The dining experience/service was average. This is a rather popular restaurant which always seems full of hungry patrons. I'm not certain if the amount of customers caused a delay in service or if the server was a bit slow. (Server was extremely pleasant-but we had to seek her for multiple items which should have been either offered and/or for additional services) we were waiting for items to eat some food and 2nd round of drinks seemed to be forgotten until after she came back and realized drinks were not there... Our table was crowded with empty appetizer plates and empty glasses-we had the request for the items to be removed as the busser nor server offered to remove the items as we already we're eating the main meal and had new drinks. The table next to us experienced the same service, as we called for an individual to come assist, they would request services as well. Again, food and drinks were wonderful! I would certainly return, and recommend individuals to experience the delicious food beautifully prepared here. Food 5 of 5. Service 4 of 5.

5/10 - only because the food was terrible. Food not at all worth the price. Maybe I’m used to a different crab restaurant (Juicy), but this food was not good. We ordered 3 and 1/2 dozen of steamed oysters and 2 cocktails and our total was $185 (12% gratuity is automatically added). The house sauce was not good (tasted like just salt and mustard?), the steamed oysters were cold, and wait times were long. I also didn’t like how the servers were the one applying the sauces to the food. That should be back of the house/kitchen’s job only. On a positive note, the servers were friendly and the location is convenient. I will not be returning though.

Menu is limited. The best thing to buy is boil bags that have crab legs and/shrimp with corn, sausage, and potatoes. You specify level of heat. They literally serve this piping hot dish in a puffed out oven bag. A friend thoroughly enjoyed the entire generous meal in one sitting. Most other choices on menu was fried and they offered daily specials. This too was very good. I just wish there were more options. Service was pretty good. We sat for quite some time waiting for to come back to table for payment. Another waitress told us to pay at the register. I think this is one of the last places where you pay at register.

As of November 3, 2023, my family member was advised that the spouse of a veteran could NOT receive a military discount! THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!! The spouse is granted priviliges by the WHOLE GOVERNMENT why NOT a restaurant! This policy is backwards and unfriendly to our veterans!!! SHAME ON YOU!! HOW ABOUT DISCONTINUE THE DISCOUNT SO NOBODY CAN USE IT!!!!

AGAIN SHAME ON YOU!

To owners response:

"Shame on us that despite the lack of identification to confirm your family members veteran status, we still extended the discount as a sign of our respect and gratitude."

This part of your response is inaccurate because it implies you know who the specific customer is, but you DON'T. However, my family member will gladly return and show receipts 2 weeks apart wherein discount was honored. Then when returning, only to be told on the date mentioned, that the spouse could not use discount, is an agitation to the customer. Also, when my family, disputed and presented receipts from 2 weeks prior, the server looked at receipt, saw the prior servers name and commented, " oh, that's (stated server name), "she's new", therefore, passing blame on server being new! That is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!

Having been in customer service for over 20 years, I know the importantance of creating, implementing and adhering to policies. However, in this instance, a refreshed training, adding visual displays at tables, in windows, on entry doors, on menus or in other conspicuous places would ensure customers are clear and servers properly articulate discounts policies prior to ordering.

Please know BIG CRAB has been our preferred dining for seafood since before changing names. It is our hope to continue patronizing your establishment, but as my final customer response, please review and refresh your customer incentives as it relates to veterans and their...

Boyfriend and I wanted to give this place a try as its much closer than our usual place, Rocking Crab. We got there about an hour before closing, took a look over the menu, and already had some weird feelings. 18% gratuity is understandable for large parties, but they also had auto 12% on all dine in, and 5% on all Togo. Alright, we always tip anyway so fine. Next, we go to order and there are 2 sauce options. The house sauce, and cajun. I ordered the snowcrab combo with the house sauce. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp special with the Cajun. He was then told he could not get cajun as they dont put it on that combo. That didnt make any sense to us but he just went with the house sauce as we wanted to give it a fair shot. We get our food, and the crab was very yummy! I did enjoy the house sauce. However we had trouble with the shrimp. They had not had the vein removed which I know some places dont do, but the shells were very difficult to get off. it was coming off in tiny pieces, and a lot was sticking to the shrimp to the point you were tearing chunks in some areas of the shrimp because the shells were literally coming off in layers. Its not an issue we have had at any of the other boil places we have tried. The staff was very friendly and tried to fix, but it was the same issue. The manager came to talk to us and offered to take his shrimp meal off and asked if mine were alright. Unfortunately they had already closed the kitchen since we were there close to closing so there wasn't really anything else that could be done. For 2 sweet teas, and a snowcrab combo that was about 45$, plus the 12% service fee, the bill came out to just under 70$, and my boyfriend was left with nothing to eat. Unfortunately I don't think we...

This place advertises false pricing on their website and the customer service is appalling. I visited this location on 8/15 for dinner. I placed my order over the phone while driving to the location for pickup as they are not doing dine in. I placed the order based on the online menu posted on the boiling crawfish WEBSITE. The menu states that a 5% charge will be added to all to go orders. When I got my price over the phone is sounded a little high. When I got to the location for pickup I requested a copy of the receipt to see why it was so expensive. Turns out they now charge a 9% fee for to go orders that goes to the employees to literally bring my food to the window. When I spoke with the manager Eunice on why that was not on their website she said it was on Facebook. I’m sorry, I looked at your OFFICIAL WEBSITE for pricing. You can’t blame everything on COVID. When i asked if she could do anything about the pricing (refund 4%) she said only the owner could do that. When I asked for the owner’s info to complain she said that was “personal information”. Last I checked if you can’t solve the issue and you’re gonna refer me to the owner you better be able to give me a name. This is ridiculous. I don’t mind paying more but I have a problem with updated pricing not being available on the website. Shame on the owner, whoever that may be, for hiring managers who have no real sense of customer service. I loved boiling crawfish but I refuse to pay almost an entire 15% tip because of COVID. You can pay your employees hazard pay or more hourly if you want them to...
