Miriam's Jewelry — Local services in Jacksonville

PLEASE think twice before making a purchase from this jeweler. They have the most ridiculous return, actually, non-return policies I have ever seen. It seems borderline illegal. Every jewelry store I have researched, such as Jared, Underwoods, Nicolas Alexander, Zales, and Kay, have a 30-day return/refund policy if Underwood, fully satisfied with your purchase. Given the high prices, you would think this jeweler would do the same, but they make it next to impossible to change your mind. ANDif you happen to change your mind, you must do so within SEVEN days to "maybe" get a store credit "upon approval." They should make this abundantly clear at the time of purchase. However, they underhandedly don't. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE UNLESS YOU ARE COMPLETELY SURE YOU LOVE YOUR PURCHASE OTHERWISE THE THIEVES WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY. Shame on...

I was the first of all my girlfriends to get married. When they ask where they should go, I always tell them Miriam's is somewhere they should avoid. The owner/manager (perhaps Miriam herself) was unbelievably rude. I went in to get an estimate about a repair and look at their selection to possibly purchase another wedding ring. I should have left the first time she was unabashedly rude to us, but there was a ring and charm I was interested in so I tried to placate her rude attitude and comments. She tried to gouge me on the charm, had us waiting for almost an hour for no reason, and her demeanor made it clear that, no matter how much I liked the ring, it wasn't worth giving her a dime of my money. I don't remember what the lady's name was but our sales person was extremely rude and she took forever to come help us. It was extremely obvious to both me and my now fiance that she was judging us I don't know if it was because of our clothes or because of our car but she obviously assumed we didn't have enough money to shop in their store (surprise nasty lady we had enough money to get whatever ring we wanted)... we went and looked at several other jewelry stores in town and I found exactly what I wanted for $1,500 less than that nasty woman quoted me.
