This was a one and done for me. When you walk in you order at the counter like a fastfood restaurant, they give you a number and empty cups to fill yourself and you seat yourself. I'm not complaining about this part. Juniors Seafood is the same and I love that place. Juniors does have people that will stop by your table to see if you need anything though. Once you order and they finally bring your food you do not interact with anyone unless you go back to the counter. There are buckets on each table with forks and knives in a paper sleeves and napkins, our table had one set and no napkins. I had to go to multiple tables to look for another set of silverware and napkins. I ordered the oysters and shrimp but substituted the shrimp for gatortail which plainly states on the menu for $2 extra can be done. At first the cashier said I couldn't do this, as she poked around on the computer she found the correct button. We came in around 9 (they state they close at 10:30), there was 1 other family seated. It took over 30 mins to receive our food. This would not have bothered me in an actual restaurant as you have a server that comes by and will get you more drinks (my friend had ordered a beer). I feel like when you order at the counter and no one's comes to the table they could get this done a little quicker especially with an empty business. I don't even want to get into the shitty service with the cashier. The other workers behind the counter were nice. Someone even tried to help her when she didn't know how to substitute. Well we finally get our food and my order is wrong I got shrimp instead of oysters. Which means we paid even more for something that was incorrect. Did I complain? No, at this point I was frustrated and wanted to eat and leave. The shrimp were still decent, the gatortail was great as were the hush puppies. The Mac n cheese was horrible no flavor and mushy. The aesthetic was nice with a live DJ and it was clean. I would say if they put a little more effort into the service, we may have been returning customers as sometimes food can just be off. Service in my book should be #1. Meaning if the service had been better and more approachable this review would be completely different. Well thanks for reading. Until...

We went there for the first time late afternoon Sunday. We spoke to the manager Haley on the phone and she answered all of our questions so we thought we would try it. When we got there, we asked for Haley, but were told she had just gone on break. Asking the other manager when she would be back off break, I was told she would be back after 1 or 2 hours! I did not ask her name but she had two stone type piercings, one above here lip, and one below. I asked this manager if I could get a bun to go with my dinner. She said yes but I would be charged $4.00 for just the bun. She said "that is what I was told to charge for a bun by the owner" wow! We are both on strict food diets with zero fried foods. We decided to get the crab cake dinner, grilled, with 2 baked potatoes, and the other was the stuffed flounder, broiled, with 2 baked potatoes. After waiting 25-30 minutes, someone came out from the back and asked who ordered the stuffed flounder. He said they were out of the provolone cheese, but I could get American or cheddar. I chose cheddar. 15-20 minutes later, I received my dinner. My wife did not get hers yet. Not letting it get cold, I ate mine. About 30 minutes later, someone from the back comes out and informs her that they are out of baked potatoes. She replied NO, that is the only side I could eat. If I can't have a whole dinner, I want my money back! Another 15 minutes later, someone else comes out from the back and says "you need to choose something else. She said NO, I just want my money back. He responded with "I can't do that". Another 15 minutes later, another person comes out with what would have been her dinner, without the baked potatoes. She said NO, take it back I want my money back! 10 minutes later someone drops her money on the table and leaves. That is almost an hour after they brought out my dinner, unreal !! No apologies from anyone, at any time !!! We saw another guest sitting there who ordered take-out with baked potatoes also who said she was waiting for an hour already. It started out promising, but this place needs real adult help and management. Needless to say we will not be back, nor will we tell our friends to come here. Also, we never did get to...

I enjoy the food very much, but it seems that the cashier's at the counter as you are paying your bill they don't smile there just for the business I had this experience with a woman as well as a man like I said the first thing that I see when I come in there is the employees the two men who was fixing my food who I had nothing to do with, they came out to get something to drink, they said hello and gave me a a smile, I enjoyed that but I would not get to see these men they did a good job in preparing my food but they are not the first ones I see when I enter the restaurant. when I paid $45 one time and then $50 another time with a very generous tip there is no smile or anyting it's just I have a job and I got to do it, that's not good for people who are meeting your customers, I hope this is not a black-white thing since I tipped very well when I was there both times, I would hate that to be the case so I'm going to come one more time and if I get that take your food or leave it attitude at the cashier's desk here's your I would not come again but I must give you a try first, second, third three strikes you're out. because your food is good I just need better service when I'm standing there about to pay for my bill at the counter, I would like a smile if I'm spending that much money at your counter. Please don't forget you are in the restaurant business which is customer service make it right! there's a lot of money being spent at...

A nice bar & grille that serves seafood with several options. I wanted grouper, but not fried. The Seafood Island Bar & Grille had 3 options, fried, grilled, or blackened. I was surprised, but none the less happy. I ordered the grilled grouper lunch, which comes with 2 sides. I got the green beans and paid an extra couple of dollars, and got a side salad as my second side. The food was cooked nicely. The fish had a flavorable taste, and it flaked easily. The green beans were southern style, but not too buttery, and they blended well with the grouper. The side salad had mixed greens that were fresh and crunchy. It came with red onions, tomatos, and croutons. There are several dressings to choose from. However, I ordered the balsamic. Everything was delicious. You order at the register located in the center. Then, a server will bring you your food when it's ready. It didn't take long to get my food. The staff was nice and seemed to be caring about your desires. The place has an island/pirate vibe. It was clean, organized, and decorated for Christmas! There are many options of seafood, so if you are interested, then stop by here and give it a very. I think you just might like it! I did!!!

Great seafood spot. Was looking for some real seafood on a trip back to Atlanta and stopped off by Jacksonville to see if I could pull it off before we left Florida. Couldn't have picked better. In the beautiful town of San Marcos aside of a big square with all sorts of shops and statues is a restaurant with so many choices on the menu I just went with the special of the day. Twenty shrimp with your choice of grilled, blackened, or scampi with two sides and a drink combo. Less than ten dollars, possibly ten with tax, can't find the receipt. Not only was the shrimp nice and plump, but fresh and cooked well. Plenty of choices, including way healthier then what I ordered, for the sides. The sides even came on their own plates. O.o The table was full just from two entrees and the double sides that came with them. Fried okra was good and not heavy with oil. Fried mushrooms way better than Zazby's. Crinkle cut fries were what you would expect from the grocery, which isn't a bad at least. I had to quit half way through and make another meal of it when I got home. Though, anyone with a heartier appetite still won't leave hungry.

First time trying this establishment, ordered through Grubhub. We ordered Gator tail nuggets and the island sampler which consists of coconut shrimp, fish bites, onion rings and fried pickles. I'm only giving 4 stars because the onion rings were pretty soggy BUT that is expected since we got delivery O rings are best when they are fresh out of the fryer. The fish bites were absolutely amazing! I was afraid that it was going to be a low quality fishy tasting fish they would use (based on the price) but OMG they were AMAZING! The gator tail was amazing as well. I have been a loyal fan of gator's dockside but this tail exceeds any gator tail I've ever had so needless to say this is my new go to for gator tail! The spicy honey mustard for the gator tail was a 10 out of 10 . The zesty sause was also a 10 out of 10. The ranch did not taste homemade but wasn't the worst so I would give 7 out of 10 . Also the picture of the Island sampler is only half of what it originally was. My family got into it before I could take the picture so the quantity was way more that what is shown.
