I went here for get an anniversary gift. There are Major parking issues at this location. I am handicapped and have a parking permit. All spaces were full including regular parking spots. I called the store to see if they had parking available. The lady looked and said no and suggested parking in a lot the was clearly labeled for another business and violators will be towed. I tried the side streets and streets behind the location and they were all full. I ended up parking and walking 3-4 blocks away on a day when my pain level was very high. Unfortunately this was the only time I had available to get this gift. Additionally, the temperature was way above 90° and I’m going to have to walk back to my car in the heat with the chocolate gift potentially melting. The lady in the shop was very nice. I explain to her the difficulty I had and getting to the shop. She admitted to the parking being a problem there. She stated that many people are parking in the parking spaces and going to Southern grounds to use their Internet café and spending a long time there. I mentioned that they really need to look into doing something about the parking situation. I suggested that maybe a parking space in front of the location signed specifically for Peterbrooke chocolate or limiting the parking in front of certain businesses to 15- 30 minutes.. I also noted six cars that were illegally parked in the area because the lack of parking. I am not one of those people that are going to illegally park. I will say that the lady working there was extremely nice and offered me a bottled water as I left because it was so hot out and the distance I had to walk. Dispute this kindness, I highly doubt I will be back at this location due to the parking unless the parking issues...
Read moreEverytime I go in this store or any other Peterbrooke store they never have Chocolate covered apples. I went in today, granted it is Valentine’s Day, but they have been out of apples since Friday. Did you not know Valentine’s Day was coming up? Why would you not prepare? Does no one have common sense to go to the produce store or Publix and get more apples. I was told it was because the apple life was only three days but yet you had strawberries in the store covering them as I walked in the door which have a much shorter lifespan than apples. One would think I’d an item is that popular and sells out a week in advance, the business owner would have enough common sense o go buy some apples, put a stick on them and dip away! I would have someone in the back making them nonstop. As a floral designer myself, that’s like me saying I’m out of roses two days out but not having enough sense to order more if my customers were willing to buy them. ...
Read moreA Facebook ad kept popping up about the caramel chocolate covered apples, so I googled a location and the one in Avondale was the closest. My heart was set on trying this place that looked so welcoming and spectacular from the video. Upon entering, we weren’t greeted AT ALL. One girl actually went to the back while the other was finishing a basket. We weren’t offered any help as it was our first time visiting. I went ahead and asked “Excuse me, are you open?” The girl in the blond hair replied yes, but nothing else. She continued to wrap the item she was working on. My husband had to ask again, “Can we please get some help with the ice cream?” She said yes and took our order. Not a thank you, nothing kind even expressed from her face. NOTHING. Based on her behaviors, I’m guessing we weren’t the “type” of people she preferred to walk in for business.
I’m giving this 2 stars bc my kids liked the gelato and my Dubai...
