I only put the one star because I had too. This place is horrible, the food is decent but the service is terrible. I visited the restaurant in November of 2017 for a friend’s dinner party, with a group of about 30 people. We could all tell that the staff didn’t want to serve a group that size due to their attitudes, but we still continued to place our orders and eat. Closer to the end of he party when time to pay my card was placed in the ticket holder and given to the server first before he picked any of the others checks. When he gathered all of the checks and began ringing people out, he came back to the table and told us that the card was not in the booklet anymore. Now in a panic everyone is looking for the car besides the server who misplaced it, even a 9 month pregnant server. While he is standing here doing nothing and we searched for about 20 minutes, a gut feeling told me to look in the book just in case, but I knew it couldn’t be in there or we wouldn’t be going through all of this. Of course when I open the booklet the card is sitting right there. After I informed the server he simply took the card and finished my transaction without an ounce of sympathy in his body, as if he weren’t the reason we were looking for the card. My friend has an paralegal aunt at the table and she told the server that we should have not payed for our food since we were the ones put in distressed about a card that was never lost (only my bill should have been covered by the restaurant). He then insisted on rudely explaining why we should have paid for the food stating, “Well you ate didn’t you?” The manager was not there and paying for the food was not a problem, the problem was that the person who claimed that the card was lost didn’t even help search for the card, and even let his pregnant coworker get on the ground and look for it while he had no care in the world. So the next day I called and asked for the manager and told her the situation and she stated, “I heard about you guy and someone in your party did not pay.” I asked did my card go through and she responded yes and I told her well nothing else had nothing to do with me and that I just wanted to talk about my situation. This was my friend’s family and I didn’t know most of the people there personally. The manager continue to argue with me about they ticket that was paid, that wasn’t mind. We had an exchange of words and I ended up hanging up. The service here is terrible and the building should be...

A Great Dining Experience at The Brick
Like any restaurant, The Brick may have its ups and downs, but during my visit, it certainly delivered a warm and inviting atmosphere with pleasant and flavorful food. The service was prompt and courteous, with both the manager John, and server, Tee ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
The evening began with cocktails, and I selected the house bourbon which use benchmark as it’s standard armed with two Luxardo cherries and perfectly proportion ice cube it was only the start of great cocktails. The lemon drop was perfectly taught and welcoming however, one more recommendation was the house martini which used Pearl vodka, Which largely diminished the flavor of the martini. The red sangria house made was exceptional
The New York strip steak, served with a loaded baked potato and arugula, was the highlight of the meal. The steak was hand-cut, cooked to perfection, and topped with a decadent Gorgonzola butter, which added a rich, flavorful touch to the dish. I also ordered the spinach salad with wild-caught Atlantic salmon, which I requested rare plus, but it arrived slightly more cooked at medium —a minor oversight. Despite this, the salmon was super delicious and paired perfectly with a generous amount of lemon to enhance the flavors.
The bill was $128 excl gratuity, and more than reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I would certainly return to enjoy the New York strip...
Read moreStopped in for breakfast Sunday, our first time at Brick. Coffee was underwhelming and tasted low quality. Brick uses prepackaged single serve half and half, so I used probably eight plus during our visit. Disappointed that they use single use items like that instead of providing a small carafe poured from a larger container. Blueberry muffin was amazing, highly recommend (make sure you add tons of butter, it's ridiculously good). Biscuits and gravy were average; an order of two biscuits is really two halves, and I may have missed it but did not see that distinction on the menu. Biscuits were just okay, and probably because they aren't made in house. The sausage gravy was outstanding, lots of sage flavor, but was overly salty. Kids french toast was more like croutons and difficult for even adults to eat, either well overdone or just old. Huevos Rancheros were okay but ironically could have used more salt, and the Spanish frittata had a fantastic salsa with it (thinking house made but didn't confirm) and the frittata was cooked nicely but lacked flavor as well as salt. Entrees were good, but not compelling enough to consider Brick to be a destination instead of a fallback in case preferred restaurants are too busy. Service was average to below average, sometimes spotty. The esthetics are nice and the food looks good, but overall I considered the experience to be average considering the high and low points. I can't say we wouldn't go back, but it wouldn't be the first place we...
