On 3/10 I went to this home depot for a material run. Walking by the mowers out front I saw a sale tag of $500 on a riding mower, then another, score of the century..so I thought. I went in with the tags and said I'd take both of them. One for me and one for my son. They started to ring everything up and asked if I was taking them now. I mentioned I had to go home and grab my trailer then I would be back. Some talk went back and forth and the kid helping me left for a minute and then came back letting me know I couldn't buy them unless I was taking them right now, I tried to argue but he said the manager (Chadd Alger) wouldn't budge. So I went and rented a trailer from Home Depot tool rental since they wanted to make it difficult. $90 later I went back and made the purchase, then sat around and waited for an hour and 30 minutes for them to find the keys and the chargers, well, they couldn't find the chargers, one key and one service manual. So the time they spent looking I could have been back with my trailer. But I digress. The ops manager (Leigh Ringheiser) asked me to come back in a few hours and they would have it all ready for me. I came back 4 hours later and I could tell by Leigh's expression when he saw that I was back, that he never looked for anything...so after about 30 more minutes of looking I was told they would have to order them since they were missing. About an hour into that working with Leigh and Sonia up at customer service to order the parts I was told I would just have to load them up and wait for the parts to be sent to the store, both mowers were dead by the way, and that Cub Cadet would be sending Leigh an email for the PO approval and they would be ordered the next day. This is so long I don't want to make it boring but I want cooperate to see this. Liegh lied multiple times stating that he ordered it, then that no Sonia ordered it, Sonia stated she couldn't order it without approval and because a CC was needed. Then I was assured they were ordered and would be delivered to Leigh's desk. Well he lied again, after about two weeks I raised hell and found out they were never ordered, that Chadd told him they couldn't order them because I purchased as-is goods. But I had the tags, they were just marked down clearance, not as-is. The reason they didn't want to order them is because they lost them, and the fact that they were $500 each. Another manager, Carlos, now involved and about 3 months in to all this, he talks Cub Cadet into sending the chargers for free. About 4 months in I get the chargers and one of the mowers will not charge, at this point I am well beyond home depot's return policy, so I turn to Cub Cadet, that's another complete nightmare, they finally agree to get it repaired but I have to take a day off and drive 4 hours to and from to a service center, that was two weeks out. Now over 5 months (8/22) after purchase a check shows up in the mail for what I paid for the mower, evidently Cub Cadet didn't want to spend the money fixing the mower so they had the service center destroy it. No call, no nothing. I have waisted so much time and energy on something that was supposed to be a blessing that instead turned out to be a nightmare and an ordeal I wish never would have happened. I will never step foot in this store again, I am also reluctant to go to Home Depot and I will no longer make it my primary stop for business or personal use. Read more1 star because I cannot rate negatively. This location had an employee steal tools out of a kit I purchased before it was given to me and swapped with other incorrect tools. I explained the situation to the assistant store manager so they knew what was going on and could keep an eye out. However instead of thanked and taken care of properly. Pheleshia proceeded ON CAMERA to immediately get defensive and scream at me "our employees dont steal" after I clearly proved otherwise and in a decent fashion. In very harrassing state and then insinuated I was a liar, thief and I was committing fraud. After that I grew very upset, I was just severely defamed, harrassed and slandered. How could not be upset. Since I was upset she then refused any service to me. Immediately I called corporate and corporate kept bouncing back and forth talking to me and that manager. I was standing next to her as she told corporate that she's been doing this a long time and that I'm definitely commiting fraud and yadda yadda yadda etc... Once again slandering me to corporate at this point and accusing me of crimes I have not committed, while at the same time refusing to fix this serious problem as the tools I purchased were 500$ the tools I got were worth 169.99. Then a employee named Bella whom Is a man? Literally put his nose to my nose threatening me because I was upset and I literally had to yell at the man 3 times to remove himself before I physically removed him, the pheleshia and another employee pulled the man away, when the Male GM of the store heard of an employee doing this to me he immediately guessed the employee, which more then makes me believe this man is physically confrontational with customers on multiple occassions, how appropriate? I even offered to take the actual store manager and witnesses to my truck to show them I have 2 other sets of these tools. I'm not defrauding anything. I just want my tools. I have an attorney and we will see this out. I even drove an hour away to the store I purchased then from to help them with their loss prevention instead of going to the one 5 minutes from my house. This was absolutely ridiculous and has cost me alot money now, between gas, and time spent there instead of at work where I needed to be. I'm out 300 on the tools I purchased, and now whatever comes forward in litigation. I absolutely spend thousands a month at home depot as I own my own handyman company, I will never use hd again. I dont care if I have to go out of my way 2 times, never again will I go to home depot. I even had to go to 4 different stores because they said they had the Milwaukee sale tool kits in stock, 5 plus ready for pick up today at least at all 4. 3 stores had 0 on shelves and refused to look more then standing on the ground looking for a number on a box 15 feet up, And the one I got screwed on the lady had to get it from the stock on top of the shelves as they didn't have any stocked on shelves either. Read moreI ordered a over the range microwave, picked it out of what they had in the show room display. I had to order a filler kit that filled in the area of the old microwave. I was assured that the filler kit went with this microwave and I would receive it on the 19th of Jan 2019, after a few days I received a call from the delivery service that I would not get it for another 3 weeks, which in turn I have this project going on and contractors standing by needless to say I lost money. Finally I received the mic and my contracter said my filler kit did not fit even after I asked the sales person in appliances several times are you sure it will fit loosing some more money because this is the secound time I had my contracter scheduled. I took it back to the store and they originally said it was a mail order and they didnt know if they could take it back even after ordering it from there display and ordering it from inside the store and of course after standing there forever, and customer service literally holding two phones to here ear apparently talking to several managers it was decided to take it back. I went back to appliances and ordered another mic that was on display that would fit my filler kit and it was going to be another 3 weeks, I was having counter tops installed and was going to order my built in stove just to find out that would be 3 weeks as well I just decided to order it on Amazon and had it in 2 days, one problem solved. Finally mar 5 I receive several calls saying my mic is in, I go to the store and of course waiting again forever they said that this was a mail order and I replied yes I know it was delivered to the store, after waiting some more she said there not sure where it is and for me to shop around and they would find it, are you kidding me. She said she would have everything ready for me to sign and it wouldn't take long. After about 20 min I went back to customer service and she wasn't around but my mic was sitting there but of course 5 people in front of me, I almost just grabbed it and left, I had the receipt but know I did the right thing and stayed and signed for it. Bottom line I hope this mic works but I can tell you this after wasting about two months of my time poor customer service and a absolutely no compensation for my contracter, my time or my familly being without I mic for a month.
