Winn-Dixie — Local services in Jacksonville

PLEASE READ ALL AND READ UPDATE..This Grocer is conveniently located less than 1mile from interstate 10. Its located within the center that includes several other businesses. Its located directly behind the Mcdonalds that faces Chaffee. This location has plenty lighted parking included handicapped spots and handicapped accessible entrances. Additionally, there is several Tesla Electronic charging stations within parking lot. The store is clean, well maintained with a friendly helpful staff. It contains a full service with pleasant, helpful staff. It also has a small florist and a Western Union for customer convenience. Att: As a Maps Contributor I reviewed this Winn Dixie several months ago. But as a Customer & Maps Contributor I witnessed a interaction that I feel other Patrons should Know. While standing near the Customer service counter on Monday at approx. 7:50 pm. A lady that appeared to be early 50s stepped to the counter with a 2 Ltr. Soda and a small container of Fried Chicken that appeared to be left over from dinner. The Lady explained her EBT wasn't loaded as she missed her evaluation date. She asked the clerk if there would be anyway she could pull up her card to see that she shopped there regularly. She asked could she speak with Mgr. As she would wish to leave her EBT card and Florida Identification for items and return in the am., pay and retrieve her ID. The cust serv. Lady stated I don't think we can Do that. She stepped into the back area, returned in approx. 3 min. and informed the Lady that she spoke with Manager who said NO they can't that! The lady said "Thank you anyway, Have a blessed night. A little research revealed the "Customer Serv. Clerk" was named Josy and the on duty "Manager" was Savanah. I hope they don't plan on serving that Over-Dry Chicken in the a.m., which would mean it would trashed. The 2Ltr RC sold for $1.50 I was speechless as I watched the Lady return the items to there spots. (VERY SAD OUTCOME) for a self proclaimed...

This is a typical Winn Dixie store. They keep it clean and stocked up pretty well on stuff. Winn Dixie's prices can be high on some things but on plenty others they have really great prices. One thing to keep an eye on is their Meat department. Often they have sales there, sometimes not really advertised until the last minute where they give you some awesome prices on meat.

One thing I DO want to point out is, they are very friendly and customer accommodating here. I have come in late at times and on my way to work and the butcher shop is closed and cleaned up already, and wanting a cut of meat and the butcher is doing other stuff, and he would actually stop and cut my meat for me, instead of saying, im sorry, come back tomorrow. They have more than once also told me, if you can come back tomorrow, that cut of meat is going on sale, and you can save XX a pound on it, so are not just trying to sell you something. They genuinely are trying to look out for your best interests as well.

The produce department is pretty good too, plenty of choices. The dairy seems a bit high, but otherwise is really good as well.

The store also has a Rewards program, which can save you a bit of money on groceries, and if you play it right, a great deal of money on buying gas if you shop at shell.

In closing, I highly recommend this Winn Dixie, mainly because of the level of customer service they give you and are always willing to go the extra mile to help you out with stuff. Plus, again, if you play it right, you can get some really...

I am reviewing this as of Jan 3, 2022. This store is really not making any friends. There is always only one line opened and then 4 baggers standing around goofing off or just standing there. I'm not opposed to bag my own groceries but when you get one that walks away as soon as I walk up or one that is afraid her nail will break. Just very disappointing. Publix is coming to town soon yall. There is going to be competition..step it up went from being one of the best to one of the not so greateset. Your shelves are never stocked , there is always stuff in the isle. Please fix this..management needs to step in and have a look. Somebody isn't doing their job. My previous review is underneath so you can see the difference. Not losing hope with yall. Just wanting to let you know. Favorite Winn Dixie in jax. Very friendly staff and the store is always stocked and not dirty. The managers all greet you. As for the pharmacy I will never use this store. The woman pharmacist is the rudest person I have ever met. She lies and thinks that she is God .Well ... You loss my business along with many more for giving your judgemental opinion and not your advice. Pharmacist bare supposed to help, not this a Place. So store is great the pharmacy needs to get rid of the witch pharmacist she's making...
