Behavior health is top notch. Always professional. Never had a problem in the nine years that I have been with them. Dr. Shear in dental was a kind hearted gem. But medical -- I've been trying to find a doctor that takes .Medicare and Medicaid,, but hurt my shoulder and had to go in for that. What they did to me was not only mean and unprofessional. It turned into an ordeal.. Passive aggressive behavior and power strugging with patients when they are in pain and need help is unbelievable, and frankly, what they did to me was manipulative and perhaps illegal. I'm a senior: I am low income, and it felt like I had no rights. It was also dangerous because I needed medical help, which they initially denied me in a highly manipulative manner. I eventually after days of pain and lack of sleep got to see a doctor, but pain and diagnosis were not resolved and there was no scheduled follow up. Having people go to the emergency room when an issue can be handled on an outpatient basis is not only expensive for the medical system, but it takes the attention of the much needed ER staff away from critical emergency patient care. I will continue with their excellent behavioral health care services. How can a public medical facility get a grant for a huge facility and then treat indigent people this way? And I happen to have a voice and can in some degree advocate for myself. What is happening to other low income patients who aren't able to speak up...
Read moreI have been seeing medical doctors and Zach, the chiropractor. Communication in the office among staff is very poor, they have regularly canceled and rescheduled appointments, and communication/follow up with referrals to outside doctors is quite poor.
Chiropractor: I was seen by Dr Zack for an emergency need a year ago, which he willingly did, but then I tried setting up new patient appointments and all three times these were canceled by him and rescheduled for 2-3 months out. One year later, I am again waiting for him to reschedule a new patient appointment. I cannot recommend a chiropractor who does not keep his word/commitments.
Medical staff: I was scheduled for one procedure by my doctor at UPMC, Jamestown. The hospital never received my paperwork and was not expecting me. I had been fasting for this procedure and had cleared my schedule.
I have had a hard time scheduling appointments with my doctor. Promised call backs never happened until the 3rd/4th times. Information was not passed along properly in messages. Appointments were canceled by the medical staff (sometimes 2-3 times) and usually several months out. Again, I cannot recommend a medical team who does not keep their word. If we as clients are expected to keep our appointments, the medical teams should also be expected to keep their...
Read moreLeaving review for primary care only, not pediatrics who have been great to us! On 1/24/24 I saw Mary Vaillancourt to get established as a patient and to express concerns with my health. During this appointment we agreed to setting up referrals for a few different offices, was supposed to prescribe two important medications (both of which I have history and records for, asthma & ADHD), and did blood work the same day to figure out what was going on. All this NP did was focus on my weight (not the medical issue that led to weight gain) and lecture me about other irrelevant things. It has now been over a month, and I have yet to hear back from my primary or a nurse in regards to these things. Not a single referral has called me to set up an appointment. My pharmacy received no prescriptions. I’ve called and have left 4 voicemails to get the results from my blood work, information for the referrals so I can call them myself, and to get the prescriptions sent over but have not heard back at all. When it comes to appointments or questions regarding my children, I always heard back and have never had this issue. I highly suggest going elsewhere for...
