I got lost. Ended up in Jamestown. So said to my daughter "lets stop at the historical center". I thought it would be a great educational opportunity and fun.
When you walk in there is a rest room, lots of hand sanitizer and tons of phablets on things to do in the area. A guest book, and then you walk through more doors in to a small gift shop, tell them what you're interested in and go tour the mansion for a small $10. Donation. Its well worth it. Especially if you're in to history (lifestyle, clothing, ect).
It took us about an hour to walk through, but we were trying to beat daylight as we still had to go to our original destination, otherwise it might have taken almost 2 hours.
I personally enjoyed it. I would like to some day intentionally visit, so that I can take my time to really absorb and appreciate not only history but the work that they put in to bringing...
