I had a VERY bad experience here. I brought in a seat to be recovered on April 4th, was told that it would be 2-3 weeks to complete. I explained that I needed the seat 5 weeks later to complete a project. I was told that it wouldn't take nearly that long. I called after 5 weeks and I was told "it will be done next week." I called 2 weeks later and was told "it will be done in two weeks." I called 2 weeks later and was told that it would be rushed and done "by the end of the week". By the end of that week I heard nothing. I finally went in the shop and spoke with Larry face to face. He reassured me he would get it done before July 4th because there was an event I needed my seat for. (seat was for a classic truck, wanted to take it to a show) July 4th came and went. Not done. Finally spoke with the nice woman who is sometimes there. She apologized and admitted that the "it will be done next week" tag line is abused at the shop. She then said it would be 2-3 more weeks. I said it was unacceptable and I said I would pick up the seat and have it done elsewhere. When I arrived they handed me my seat in pieces with a handful of hardware. I calmly took my seat and left. So they had my seat for exactly 14 weeks and gave it back to me worse than I dropped it off. I don't like to ever speak negatively about local businesses but I felt that people needed to hear my story before deciding to bring their items...
Read moreNEVER EVER EVER USE THIS PLACE!! Customer service is horrible. The work they complete is a disaster and not even worth the money - which was extremely expensive. Which I am completely happy paying if the work and results are worth it. And to mention they placed 7 screws through the bottom of our boat which the owner stated it wasn't his fault. And we had nothing but a headache trying to get it repaired. No one at the business has a clue as to what is going on. What was requested to be redone or repaired wasn't even correct. And they had it a total of over 2 months. And now that we finally got it back the interior was filthy and the cabin work looks like a 5 year old completed it all. If anyone would like to see pictures of the work or get anymore detailed information please just ask me!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE YOUR BOAT THERE AS YOU WILL BE OUT OF MORE MONEY AND COMPLETELY...
Read moreI have a Victorian chair that was reupholstered 40 years ago. In that time, the upholstery was wearing out and a few springs had "sprung". The crew at The Upholstery Place fixed the springs and did a beautiful job of reupholstering. The chair is a showpiece. I have a few more pieces to be redone. I have no hesitation about taking my furniture to them. They pay attention to the details and present a fabulous finished product. I give them five stars and a highly recommend The...
