Tops Friendly Markets — Local services in Jamestown

While many of the Tops locataions are smaller and considered convenient stores, this one is a beautiful, full sized, fully stocked grocery store. Walking into the store, the first thing that greets you is the wonderful smell of bread and baked goods from their in house bakery. The deli is large and well stocked, with fresh rotisserie chickens and a great variety of cheeses and cold cuts. The produce department is outstanding, loaded with rows of vibrant, crisp vegatables and fruits. Pricing is moderate, however, their weekly newspaper flyer specials make the trip well worth it, and their support for our local newspaper has not gone unnoticed. Top it off with their convenient gas station and customer discounted gasoline, and you have a real local winner. When I used to work at Tops Markets located at Washington Street, Jamestown, NY doing carts retrieval and dealing announcements from the customer service desk. They had to let me go because during the incident at the customer service desk, which I misunderstood and did not know. This one certified store employee got rude and nasty and she was yelling and arguing at the front of the store and saying you are not allowed back here. I think Tops Markets Customer Service Desk should be ashamed of themselves, because there was no sign back there that should say Do Not Enter Certified Only. I hope that a rude female person should get fired from Tops Markets Customer Service Desk for acting nasty and yelling out in front of the store like that and all the people are watching and listening to this incident. This is somewhat of a hidden gem so to speak. While all the other grocery stores in the immediate area tend to be over crowded or run out of the this or that . I find that this super market has yet to let me down. The only issue I have with this particular grocery store is the fact I'm still seeing individuals allowed to enter when its mandatory all people wear face masks. It should be the responsibility of the store to ensure the safety if others but I have yet to see any grocery stores follow through with this now mandatory action by all who would like to enter.
