Dollar General — Local services in Jamestown

The staff very friendly and hard workers yet they appear to be understaffed and overwhelmed due to the constant pile up of merchandise that is still in boxes waiting to be put on the shelves. My daughter loves going and I would say so do I because most of the time I find what I need and I'm in and out. My little one always wants to go here because she loves the toys and for what they offer it's not a bad option. For the most part the toys they carry seem to keep her content and finding something new she wants or just has to have and for the price you can't go wrong. I mean it is a dollar store after all. My only complaint would be lack if employees but the ones that are there are always willing to help and they definitely get through the lines of people waiting to cash out. Great job guys and gals. I'll always return with a crew like that....

They had a broken front door for well over six months and it didn't get fixed by corporate it had to be repaired by a random local person. Only one door could be used for all that time. I bought a bunch of Oreos for a party and they were all over 8 months expired. Their ice cream freezer broke and it took at least three months to get a new one. Employees are nice but they don't really take much initiative with cleaning or providing usueful help for customers. I only go here since it's so close to my home and work. If you don't want the hassle of a big store & need only a few things Dollar General is the place to go.. Sure the prices are higher but if you need that bag of chips they have them.
