Taiga Spa — Local services in Jay

I have had many massages in the past. I felt that the quality and the experience was poor from beginning to end.

I was instructed to wash my hands, go down the hall and wait. I was confused as to where to go. I then returned to ask and told to go the the actual waiting area.

My massage therapist, Jessica, provided a very impersonal greeting , I am not even sure if she introduced herself.

She asked me if there were areas of concern as to which I told her, shoulders, neck but mostly all over. She told me to start face down and that she’d have me turn over and work the other side of my body. I was confused when she said something to me that I assumed was “you can turn over now” It was actually the end of my massage. I was not offered or given water after which I always receive , nor was I guided back to the front desk.

I felt that this was a lot of money to spend for what I received. I will not return to taiga spa...

Over the last few months, we have had the 50 and the 80 minute couples massage. Both were sports/deep tissue, and we really would recommend Rochelle and Jesse who were very experienced and provided a comprehensive and thorough 80 minute massage. Body areas we had of concern were well addressed, knots were worked out, and it was really the first time we personally had deep tissue massages that were truly effective...they really got in there and did a great job, I didn't have to ask twice for more pressure, and they didn't need direction after the initial greeting and consult...so relaxing to just lay back and let the professionals do work. 50 minutes is good but we recommend doing the extra time and going for 80 minutes so they have more time to really address any areas of concern you have....

My daughter recently was married at Jay Peak. We did spa treatments before the wedding and hair and make up the day of. I cannot say enough good things about the Taiga Spa team. Everything went like clockwork. They managed 6 bridesmaids, the bride, mother of the bride and mother of the groom perfectly.
