CONS:
Bottom line is it was a good experience and i would recommend buying a car from Farris Motor Company but do as much research as you can before buying so you can make an informed decision, it sucks reading the manual and finding out all the things the model you bought doesn't have!!!
Update: Its been over one year and the Cherokee has been performing great!! My experience with the service department has been very good. Fast and efficient!! Here is the disappointing part: Everyone in business knows that a HOT referral is worth its weight in gold.... So you would think!!!! Well I sent a friend to purchase a brand new Cherokee KL. Which he did! I was expecting a grand thank you or hey maybe a T-Shirt, a free oil change or how a bout a $100 gift certificate!!!!! I just made them a $30,000 sale and it didn't cost them anything!! Well what i got was a "oh that program isn't good anymore". WTF??? This was the worst excuse for an answer anyone in sales should ever give to a customer who sends a HOT sales lead. If i was the owner I would fire that salesman on the spot or at least send them for some sales training so they don't ruin my business. Very disappointed at my dealership who has been great so far. I don't get annoyed very easily but i guess a hot lead means nothing to them!! :(.
Update: So they called me to explain that they were changing referral programs and i was between programs and that of course they understood the value of a good referral and apologized for the mix up. That was cool and unexpected. Faith restored, like i said Farris has been great so far especially the service department over the last year and have always taken good care of me and keep my Jeep in perfect running condition. I expect that...

2015 Jeep Compass
Bought with 135,307 Miles September 15, 2022
142,008 miles July 23rd, 2023
There was no sticker on window to give details of vehicle or car fax given. Window sticker was in glove box which I later found after digging it up, but no car fax.
When I went in, I saw the vehicle through a window, salesman said they would detail it/wash it. It was not too detailed but washed, when I went to test drive it.
I was excited to get the Jeep, at first until issues started arising…
Salesman said that a guy brought it back because he was a contractor and needed a truck. I see why he brought it back now.
I had asked if there were anything wrong with the vehicle or wrecks and was told that there was not.
Reported with 2 accidents. Minor, but front end was unknown severity and passenger side was minor. This was not disclosed before buying.
Within 6 hours September 16, 2022 had to have pulleys replaced, rear end fixed. (They fixed with no charge to me)
Vehicle was in 2+ wrecks which was not disclosed during test drive or buying process
Went to have oil changed and check to see why it was overheating. Was told they couldn’t find anything wrong and that it would be $4000+ to look deeper into it. It’s only worth about that. Not now.
It needed coolant in the radiator hose, they did not check for that apparently.
Have a extended warranty with 24,000 miles/24 months whichever came 1st Was told $100 down would cover major components. Does not.
I did not go back to have vehicle serviced due to them not holding up their deal. I replaced spark plugs, ignition coils, bought coolant for vehicle and changed oil myself because they were not honoring warranty.
There is no point in letting them service the Jeep when they do not honor the extended warranty.
There is a cylinder 1 misfire that pops the engine light on and off.
White smoke comes from the hood when starting now and again. Have to shut it off and restart.
Shakes bad when you start it up every so often and when you sit in drive with brake pressed.
When winter weather hits, vehicle throws throttle body code. (RED lighting bolt) and engine light. Was told they never heard of something like that before when I called in January of 2023.
I do have the vehicle history report which the dealer did not give me, I had to buy report myself.
For a reputable business, they sure screwed me over. I can’t afford this vehicle anymore. Too many repairs that I can’t afford and they will not take care of/ bull me over with pricing.
$425/Mo is too much for something I have to work on or find someone to work on!
I’m done and will...
Read moreI was having so much anxiety about buying another car. Mostly because the other dealerships had told me that I was going to have to sink basically all of my savings into a down payment since I was upside down on my trade in. I had pretty much given up and just started praying that my car would make it one more year. Then the team at Jason Farris Motor Company called me, and reassured me that just looking couldn’t hurt and they would do everything they could to help me out. When I arrived I met Jesse Moore. That’s exactly when my luck turned around. Immediately Jesse had given me more of a chance than the past salesmen I had met. He listened to all of my concerns, took notes, and worked every angle to get me the best deal possible. He talked me through every step, laughing and easing all my anxiety. He really took the time to make sure I really understood everything that was going on. He went through every feature on the car so I 100% knew what I was getting, all while crossing off everything I needed in my vehicle. He reassured me the car I was purchasing was safe for me and my family. I really didn’t feel like he was just trying to get a sale, I felt like he genuinely cared for mine and my families safety. Next I met with Jamie, who did a tremendous job of breaking every thing down with the loan and all the things I was signing. He helped me get to a reasonable price, all while not having to touch my savings. What really set This team apart was the fact that they were willing to go out and meet my 88 year old grandfather to sign his papers so he wouldn’t have to drive over an hour. Now I’m more than happy, and safe in my new Jeep renegade!
This team is PHENOMENAL. I am so thankful I was led to them, and put my trust and business into them. It was far from a waste.
THANK YOU FARRIS MOTOR COMPANY! YOU ARE...
