Update: Saving Face S1 E2 So, I called the number provided, expecting some answers. I thought I'd be speaking with the person who responded to my initial complaint. Nah, I had to go through the whole scenario again and still got no answers. It must be that particular branch policy was the only answer I got. Which leads me to conclude that the response to my first complaint by Huntington is just for the public eye. Saving Face. Just to make it appear that they follow up and that they care. Their message may as well be computer generated, perhaps it was.
On Feb. 3-23 I went online line to verify hours. Branch Lobby: M-F: 9am - 5pm. Only half mile so I walked there to find doors locked at 3:30pm. I was directed to the drive up window where I stood with two other customers in 11 degree temperature. I had questions on the deposit of my international check, which was difficult to do through a window plus, I had no privacy. So I opted to just put it in my checking account. 35 minutes later I was told it would take four to eight weeks to clear. What technology is being used, carrier pigeon? It felt degrading to have to stand outside in 11 degree temperatures to try and do my business. At the very least, update your website with correct hours.    Read moreI was at the Pulaski/Irving Park branch today with a purpose of opening a new account. I was greeted warmly when I entered the door, which I thought was a good sign, and was told to take a seat because the personal banker named Cesar was still with a customer. I was the only customer waiting there until an elderly lady came in. When the personal banker was done with the customer he was assisting, I thought I would be next, but he called the elderly lady first and he ignored me. So I patiently waited again. Then another lady came in and sat down. When the banker was done with the previous customer, he came, and again.... called this lady who just sat there with me for just a couple minutes, to come in to his office... as if he did not see me at all! Was I invisible to him??? I was treated like a second class citizen....a chopped liver! I felt like I was being profiled. I figured they don't want my business...and I've decided not to do business with this bank at all after this disappointing experience, so I stormed out of there. I will be calling my brother who has an account here, who referred me to this bank. Bad...

I arrived well before their closing time (5 PM) at 4 PM, yet my request to open an account was refused. This was extremely disappointing, as I had planned my visit according to their business hours.
Concerns: Lack of Assistance: Despite arriving before the closing time, the staff refused to assist me with my account opening. Customer Service: The overall experience left me feeling undervalued as a potential new customer.
Recommendation: I hope Huntington Bank takes customer service seriously and ensures that their staff is prepared to assist customers during all business hours. Future customers deserve timely and courteous service without having to worry about being turned...
