don’t get me wrong it truly is a cute and cozy bar. everything is great besides this one very rude, disrespectful, and racist bartender by the name of “john”. dealt with this guy twice now. first time my boyfriend and i just wanted to go in one night after work to have a couple beers. keep in mind i was 8 months pregnant so i was NOT drinking nor going inside with any intention to drink. to begin with we had entered the bar and “john” was completely ignoring us and not attending us. my boyfriend had to go up and get his attention to order. he ordered a beer and for me a cranberry juice (non alcoholic). “john” asked for IDs and my boyfriend showed it to him without a problem. i had forgotten my ID but either way i was not ordering alcoholic beverages. “. john” started to be rude and telling us we had to leave for not showing IDs. We tried explaining that i was pregnant and was not even going to drink. on top of that we had just seen teens walk out of the bar. he told us IDs are required when entering a BAR. the bar sells food so it’s also a restaurant. he was being unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful. we didn’t want any problems so decided to leave. today we went again trying to have a nice chill night. i’m currently 9 months pregnant and had my ID with me this time. we ordered same thing. it was going all too well, having a good time. then we noticed “john” was attentive with everyone else in the bar except for us and was pretty much avoiding us. when he finally got close to us my boyfriend ordered another beer for himself and then with the intention to start problems… “john” started mentioning our last visit and was demanding us to apologize. my boyfriend ignored his comment and politely asked him for another beer. simply bc we refused to apologize for something that was irrelevant now he told us he was done serving us and to leave the bar. we had every reason to get mad and felt completely discriminated. he started to raise his voice at us at the level for the whole bar able to hear him, started cursing at us, and kicking us out. we told him to call the police but he refused to do so because he knew he was passed too many drinks himself. this man completely ruined our night with how rude he was being. manager definitely needs to do...
Read moreWent on a Saturday night and had a blast. Bartender was a cool younger guy (probably donates to charities and loves America) who definately cared about his patrons and the product he was putting out. I mostly drank beer, girlfriend had a Moscow mule and some other stuffs.
Went back during the week, different story. Older grumpy guy bartender (probably kicks dogs for fun) said he didn't have the ingredients to make a margarita (the mix bottle was visible in the well) and rolled his eyes and scoffed when a Moscow mule was ordered (they display their copper mugs dead center behind the bar... almost like they want you to buy one? Guess not from this dude). Some guy at the bar, I'm guessing an off duty worker, apologized for the bartender. I just laughed, finished my one drink and went down the street.
I guess you just gotta roll the dice and see who's tending bar? The atmosphere is great and prices are right for the...
