Everybody at my table got the 2x2. There was a lot of hype for this place in the neighborhood but it didn't fit the quota for me.
The waiter, was condescending, probably because other people expected French toast instead of pancakes, but that is on OTHER people, not us. We read the menu. DONT worry.
However, the bad part especially was the food. Nobody at our table enjoyed the food very much. The eggs were fine, scrambled and overeasy. One of us found a hair in her food! Absolutely unacceptable. We did not complain, we ate anyway. I pointed out how our hash browns were undercooked as well, and it wasn't just me who agreed. It upset my stomach slightly, because of the uncooked starches in the potatoes. The bacon had a very weird stale aftertaste as well, but that might be me. It was neither crispy or chewy and thick, which I like it both ways. It just felt stale, like it was left out.
Nobody at our table finished more than 1/3rd of their food. I will eat the leftovers today nonetheless. This diner food is relatively cheap, but still expensive because of food in general nowadays[ but Waffle House will always clear (if it was available here)]
The best part is always the free coffee. It was great. And the cream too. With diners, I want to relax and drink coffee, but it felt more like a fast food restaurant than a diner unfortunately, if...
Read moreMy husband and I have been excited for this location to open for quite some time, and the wait was definitely worth it! Walking into the doors of this place was very different from the other locations. It felt bright, open, and welcoming. It looks like a modern diner, with hints of old diner decor, which made it really nice to dine in. We were quickly welcomed and chose to sit at the counter area since there was a small wait for a table. We honestly enjoyed sitting there because we were able to watch how the whole team was working like a well oiled machine. If that kind of effort and energy continues, this location is going to be very successful! In terms of food and service, everything was exceptional. Our server was Hugo. He was very friendly and professional and checked on us throughout the whole meal. The food and hot coffee were phenomenal and filling! Very reasonable pricing for the quantity and quality. My husband got the Country Fried Skillet and I had classic scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Everything was delicious! It’s now a new local favorite for us and we will definitely be returning soon! Next time we will take photos of the food. It just looked so good that we couldn’t help but jump right...
Read moreThis Cozy Corner just opened a few weeks ago in our area. We went the first Saturday they were open. Most new places have a few kinks when they first open up, not this place. It is a well oiled machine, with the most courteous, friendly, and efficient staff I’ve seen in a restaurant in a good number of years. The food is top notch, the eggs, organic with beautiful orange yellow yokes. I had ham and eggs the first visit, and yesterday I had the Lemon Berry Pancakes, fluffy light delicious pancakes stacked 3 high with lemon mascarpone cream filling between and on the top, with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and finished with a drizzle of Raspberry sauce. My Husband had the Eggs Benedict, the first visit, and the Fried Chicken and Biscuits with homemade Sausage Gravy on the second. The staff is almost entirely Hispanic which we love since that is our neighborhood and it’s great to see these types of businesses flourish. We’ll be making this our regular monthly Saturday breakfast spot...
