Updated review coming soon. Don’t do it!!
8/5/22This will be my 4th attempt to get through inspection… 8/18/22. After 53 days, and with the help of outside sources, my car has finally gone through inspection.
If you are going to purchase a car from Northway, go to the Andover site and Ask for Tom. Sorry, I don’t know his last name. Out of all the people I dealt with, I think he was the most honest and most helpful. He did make the buying process simple and tried to help when things went wrong. My car was fine when I first bought it. Lights came on after a few days and I brought it to my mechanic who ran the codes. There was a lot. 2 pages full. I took it to their service center and they had my car for 6 days. Said they outsourced it, but didn’t tell me where it was, but I couldn’t have it. After the 6 days, they fixed one thing and erased all the info on my diagnostics monitor leaving it unreadable. I took it back. One of the mechanics told me it was my problem and walked away. After calling repeatedly with no answer, I messaged Tom, and Tom got Jerry to call me back. Long story short, Jerry made lots of promises and lied to me. Sara the service center boss was of no help for something that was their fault. It was my issue and the cost was mine. I had to get my family involved who convinced Sara to pay a dealership to restore my diagnostics monitor. 2 trips later to the Volkswagen dealer, and 3,000 miles of driving(which has now voided my warranty), it’s gone through inspection but still has some of the codes from before everything started. That’s going to be my cost. I won’t take it back to their service center. If you buy from them, make sure there’s an inspection sticker. Mine didn’t have any, that should’ve been my first clue. Take it to your mechanic immediately and have him/her run codes and get copies of those codes. Keep some of those copies. And if you don’t want your car to disappear for 6 days, let them determine what it needs and bring it back and wait with it when the parts come in. One thing to keep in mind. You are their paycheck. The salesmen only make $250 a week plus commission. They’re going to tell you anything they think you want to here...
Read moreBefore even buying my car, I submitted an online application early in the morning. I received no call regarding my application as to the status. So of course I called to check in. I was told someone would call me back, never got a return call. I only kept calling because I was hoping to go that evening to get the car and it is a 2 hour drive one way so I needed to leave work early to make it there before they closed. Called the next morning and the loan application was approved just no one seemed to call and let me know. That should of been the red flag, but I know people get busy so I let it go. Decided to get the car and asked them to have paperwork ready as I was driving 2 hours to get there and traveling with a 2 year old. They assured us it would be ready, of course it was not. During the signing the papers I stopped because the purchase price was not what I saw online. So I pulled out ad that I had printed off to show them and has told they would not honor it. It was only a $300 difference, so you would think will all the hassle thus far they would give it to me for the internet price. The fuel light was on in the vehicle so I asked if it would be filled, I was told probably not but they took it across the road and put $10 into it, waste of time as I had to go right back over there to fill it for my 2 hour drive home. Since that day it has been part after part. Tire sensor light is on dash, service park assist is on, rear windows do not work, cruise control works intermittently. As of yesterday with the freezing temperatures I had no heat up front and check engine light is on. Called them of course a few times because it will not pass inspection like that, as they promised it would. No calls back of course and was promised a call back this morning and nothing. Worst experience ever...
Read moreVery odd experience . Brought my daughter there this afternoon to look a a specific car she saw on line . Nissan Altima 11k vehicle . We parked walked the lot and eventually found the car with no help from anyone . Spent time looking over the car from the outside . We now walked back towards the sales office with the expectation of taking the car for a test drive . As we approached the office there were two men outside I asked if the vehicle came with a warranty and was told it came with a two month warranty at that time i said wow 11 k plus car with just over 59k miles only comes with a two month warranty . I asked if there was a warranty I could purchase and was told yes so I asked to see the information on it . He brought me inside and was pushing the allstate warranty because it was the best I asked why he felt that way and what was special about there warranty and his answer was because it is allstate and they are the best . Again I asked why they are the best and what would a warranty cost . At this time he says well it is my first day here so I don't know the prices but there are different packages to select but I have been selling cars for a long time . Well as the head of a sales team you did a horrible job . You never once asked me if there was a particular car I was looking at or a budget I had . The odd thing is there were other people in the office and no one stepped in to help him close a sale or assist us the customer purchase a car . I had an envelope with 10k and the intension of purchasing the Altima so long as it was sound and the carfax was clean . Guess it was just bad timing that I got the only non-motivated used car...
