The moment you walk in the door you relax! I don’t normally get my hair done and as a result I really do not know what i want Or more accurately what works with my hair type. Over the past few years I had been getting a spiral perm as it is easy to manage and looks great with minimal effort. Yet finding a place can be difficult- Renee completely made my day and rest of the summer!!! She took the time in the beginning to really plan out what would be best with what my needs and wants were. Bless her heart as my hair is thick and it seemed like the process took forever but she never made me feel like she was rushing or that my time with her wasn’t important. As a woman it’s so nice to treat yourself- and my experience here was very much therapy!!!! This was my first time going to an actual salon and I had a positive experience! Erin greeted me with a friendly attitude and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she explained to me what she could do to match it the best she could. She is very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time I was there. She did a very nice job on my haircut and the purple highlights I asked for, and gave me pointers on how to keep the color in as long as possible. She made nice conversation with me, and it felt like I had been going there for years. At the end, she curled my hair, and I felt beautiful when I left the salon. This is where I take my Mom to spoil her a little bit and get her hair done. Awaken Salon has proved to be an excellent and professional establishment. It is so clean and lovely inside. And my Mom always sees Shannon. She does a fantastic job with her hair. Her layering, face framing, and styling skills are absolutely top-notch. And she's so personable and sweet to my Mom which means the world to me. She's so easy to talk to and work with. I know that this establishment also offers a wide variety of services in addition to hair cutting and styling. Whenever I go there, I always see happy and satisfied customers. I couldn't recommend this business any more highly than I am. What a rare find in a smaller town like Jefferson. This is absolutely a 5 star review...
