Stable Rock Winery, Distillery & Kitchen — Restaurant in Jefferson

This winery is awesome. We like to come on Sundays when the flights are half off.

I signed up for their reward program and it builds up quickly. There are a lot of different wines for different customers, I like more red and dry and my husband like more sweet- Stable Rock has all of these and lots in-between. I saw a sign of theirs that said the use fully solar power to run the winery which is awesome to see.

We came with two kids (they had tablets and kept quite) who were welcomed.

We have not eaten here. I have Celiac, and they have gluten free options, I asked about their cross contamination process and it doesn't sound safe. There is no separate area, but that's ok for me. I can eat first or bring in my own safe food, and then go to the winery.

We always come here and love the wine and ambiance. Tonight we came and it was busier than usual. We were treated by the older lady at the bar very rudely… she rolled her eyes when she had to make my husband’s old fashion. She treated the customers behind us so much nicer. I went up to order another glass of wine and was also treated very rudely. The 6oz pours of wine were not 6 oz… they were 4oz. I was not served in a wine glass either but a plastic cup. I hate drinking wine from a plastic disposable. If the lady behind the bar can’t handle the stress of when it’s busy, then maybe find a different job.

Cute little discovery that I’ve now visited several times. Enjoyed the atmosphere, wine and food however each time the customer service was nonexistent. After my 3rd visit, I can say, the woman behind the counter has never been friendly or smiled. She’s never made any suggestions. The most recent visit, she argued about a sale price only to later call and explain we were overcharged! Hmm imagine that! To add insult to injury she wouldn’t refund our credit card bc it’s too much work! Perfect example that staff does matter! Be kind, smile. Fake it if you have to or perhaps...
