J-Town Beach — Local services in Jeffersontown

I really like this place. Staff and patrons very welcoming of kids. But parents there are a few issues you need to know about…. Bring food. Pizza, McDs, Chick-Fil-A. The food truck on day we went didn’t have much my kid would eat and was pricey. Bring some sand toys and meet a friend there to keep kid entertained. Mine had more fun when another kid his age showed up. Your kid will think the bourbon slushies are an icee. Lol. So maybe grab one before you come. They don’t always have ice cream so don’t mention it. The sand. Mine wanted to go play on the court (which is always in use) with its beautiful, fluffy sand. There isn’t necessarily a kid sand area (that would be awesome!). Kids play on the side but this day it was very compacted. A woman there said it wasn’t always like this. Watch out for balls and people on court cuss. I don’t care but some might.

Stopped @ The Beach on 3/2/24 while visiting from out of state. The female bartender became visibly irritated each time we ordered drinks. There were only a handful of customers at the time. So you’d think she would’ve welcomed our party of four’s business. From my observation she was either drunk or high and didn’t want to be bothered with paying customers simply ordering drinks. I don’t typically leave reviews but with this being a small family owned business I thought it was important for this establishment’s owner to know how this lady is treating paying customers. Had this “bartender” served us without the bad attitude we would not have left early.This employees lack of common courtesy cost this establishment a couple hundred dollars. Best outdoor volleyball in Jtown. Solid drink deals if your hanging out to watch Sports during the week or Sunday football, or just support the teams. There is corn hole, fire pit, grill food, and plenty of seating. There is a taco food truck that is in the parking lot next door. Parking is available for players, bar go-ers, and spectators.
