What can I say about the Ace Hardware Center in Jena Louisiana....... I FREAKING LOVE IT! For an outdoorsy and crafty person like myself oh, I thought I'd just died and went to heaven! There was everything that you could imagine there, from swimming pool needs to painting needs, to poisons and insecticide, cabinet hinges, dog houses, Yeti ice chest, face mask, barbecue pits, flag poles, and every other thing that your mind could imagine a hardware Center would carry! And when it comes to mr. Bill in the back explain to my father and I exactly how hot water heater works and what was wrong with ours and why it was doing what it was doing. He had all the parts ready for us because we had called earlier to ask if they were available. So not only did we get a full lesson in the mechanics of a hot water heater, we got the correct items we needed and that made dad very happy. But I think I was the happiest one because I found my new honey hole shopping spot. The entire staff was wonderful and kind and very eager to help us. So if I ever need anything else when it comes to hardware supplies, or even that special solar light for outside, although I already have way too many solar lights in my collection, I will definitely go to the ace family Hardware in Jena...

Just one complaint about ace hardware. If you need to exchange an item, you should be able to go into any ace hardware and be able to do an exchange. As it is, you have to go to the store from where you made the purchase. Example: if I make a purchase at ace hardware in Monroe. I get back home where I live in Alexandria, found out that I picked up the wrong part, so I go to Alexandria to ace hardware to do an exchange. Alexandria ace hardware says no can do. Go back to Monroe to make the exchange, we are not going to help you. What are the chances I would drive almost a 2 hour drive back to Monroe to do an exchange when there is an ace hardware in Alexandria? If ace hardware is a reputable company, it should not matter where you go to make the exchange. I don't go to the Jena location anymore for this reason. I went to get some things I needed for my home. I had trouble finding it so I looked for someone to help me. I saw two employees talking to each other and not wanting to interrupt them I waited for them to finish. I stood there for about 5 minutes while these men discussed their Girl Scout cookie orders and completely ignored me. I finally gave up and left. I got outside and called to complain and I was laughed at. That's why I don't go...
