TLDR: The coach openly stated that he wouldn't let my son play because he doesn't like me, and the league refused to address the problem.
Our experience with Jenks Youth Baseball League was nothing short of disappointing. My son played for a team in this league and encountered a coach who displayed a severe lack of professionalism and care for the players.
The coach's negligence was evident in various aspects. He failed to keep up with the pitch count, resulting in confusion and frustration among players. Furthermore, he sidelined players for extended periods without explanation or guidance, leaving them feeling abandoned and unsupported.
One particularly distressing incident involved a player making a significant play, only to be left without any constructive feedback or encouragement from the coach. Instead of using such moments as teaching opportunities, the coach's indifference left the player feeling dejected and ignored.
My concerns were met with hostility rather than understanding when I confronted the coach about his behavior. His admission of not caring about the team or baseball itself was both shocking and unacceptable. Moreover, his unprofessional conduct extended to berating me in front of others when I raised valid concerns about his coaching approach.
Furthermore, the coach's unprofessionalism reached a disturbing low when he openly admitted to withholding playing time from my son simply because of a personal dislike towards me. This blatant abuse of power not only demonstrates the coach's lack of integrity but also raises serious concerns about their suitability to mentor and guide young athletes. No child should be subjected to such unfair treatment based on personal vendettas, and it speaks volumes about the toxic environment fostered by this coach and the league for supporting this individual.
Even more disheartening was the league's response to my complaints. Despite bringing attention to the coach's mistreatment of players, the league displayed a shocking lack of concern for the well-being of the children under their supervision. Their refusal to address the issue and insistence on forcing my son to continue playing under such conditions is utterly unacceptable.
Despite the coach's clear misconduct and the negative impact on my son's experience, the league refused to offer any form of restitution. Not only did they fail to provide a refund for the remaining season or offer a raincheck to join a different team within the league for the next season. This refusal to acknowledge their responsibility to rectify the situation further emphasizes their prioritization of bureaucratic convenience over the well-being of the players and their families
Our experience with Jenks Youth Baseball League was marred by incompetent coaching, lack of support from league officials, and an overall disregard for the welfare of young players. We will not be returning to this league and cannot recommend it to others seeking a positive youth...

I really appreciate the netting over the center sections protecting family and friends from stray foul balls from other fields that you're not watching. Once the season is up and running, the concession stand has plenty to offer as well. Could use additional restroom facilities but other than that...
