Apple Nails Salon — Local services in Jersey City

This establishment is not one I would recommend. They’re only here to put familiar clients first and the owner Apple has no class and is extremely rude, she has no idea whatsoever how to appease a client in distress due to horrible customer service .

I got my nails done by Anthony on March 26th . A little over a week at least 5 or 6 of my nails completely lifted. I also got my toes done in which the gel completely lifted up as well . I called in and made the incompetent “secretary” aware of the entire situation, she then tells me she put me down for 3:00pm for April 16th with Anthony and that the service would be free .I arrive at approximately 3:08, I waited 2 hours before I was serviced because the secretary booked me with the wrong person. I left out of the nail shop at 6pm . I was also told that in order to do my nails I would need to pay, again contradictory to what was explained on the line . I expressed to the extremely RUDE OWNER APPLE that the customer service there is trash and I had to beg her to apologize for allowing me to sit there for several hours before being serviced due to someone else’s mistakes . The owner Apple tells me basically not to come back in which I definitely will not because that is not how you talk to paying customers and that’s neither how you treat them . Anthony throughout the entire process of fixing my nails kept consistently alluding to the fact that I broke my nails on purpose, they kept giving scenarios in which I was responsible for my nails lifting instead of acknowledging their short comings . Apple is really lucky the situation didn’t go left , my experience was horrible and if I could I would give 0 stars . I’ve been here recently and was treated very poorly. I called made an appointment for pedicure and on the phone I told the person I’m not sure if I’m getting a fill in or pink and white full set. They said that’s okay. After my toes were done the women that was supposed to do my nails had no idea how to do pink and white and a woman that I presume to be the owner took over & she was pissed. She told the girl well come over here and watch me then. So I had 2-3 girls watching her do this pink in white full set which I wanted because if she didn’t do a full set the line would be too thin.. the lady disagreed .. but I knew what I wanted and I’m paying $120 for my nails .. enough said. She was not happy about that either, very confrontational saying she’s just making sure that’s what I wanted 2-3plus times…when I knew she was upset because she had a regular waiting on her.she also wanted to know where I got my nails done previously which I thought was none of her business lol I’m a pretty quiet girl and I usually do stick up for myself but I had a feeling if I did the situation would be out of control judging by the way she was acting. So I stood quiet, and felt uncomfortable the whole time… I even tipped accordingly.. because that’s who i am. I know people go here religiously and love it , I also know people who will never go there again because of their experiences and trust me I’m one of them. The nails did turn out nice, just upsetting I had to go through that. You’re supposed to enjoy that time. She (the owner, I believe) was very unprofessional… nasty & rude and I would never treat anyone the way I was treated, whether a salon owner or not. I've visited this establishment twice and in both instances this establishment has failed to deliver. Jenny, the nail technician that worked on my nails gave me extremely poor and unsatisfactory service. She looked like she was afraid to work on my nails and it was clearly a rush job because my nails fell off not even two days later. In spite of the poor service and her overall rude and condescending attitude i still did my due diligence in tipping her. When I returned to the establishment again to get my nails redone again I was extremely disappointed and saddened by the fact that my nails fell off again. I would not recommend anyone that is reading this review to go to Jenny. She does not value her clients in the slightest.

I wrote this review without the intention to bash anyone. I am a god fearing person. I was just expressing my honest thoughts about my experience at the establishment.

I am spending my hard earned money at this establishment, and all I wanted was good service and for my nails to be done right.

When you pay for something and tip you want something done right. And also I wasn't on the list because I was a walk in customer. I would never deliberately lie with the intention of ruining someone's reputation.

It is very embarrassing to have my nails pop off and fall off unprompted and in public.
