Food Lion — Local services in Johnson City

1st time in this store and I had gone to the Meat Market looking for a Smoked Butt/Shoulder. I couldn't find it and asked the Meat Market associate, Dwight filling the case if they had any and he mumbled something and when I asked if he could repeat what he said because I didn't hear him he rolled his eyes at me, face grimising. I apologized I didn't hear him but that didn't change his attitude..he pushed pass me and directed me to another counter where if I cared to explain that wasn't what I was asking about. But I didn't want to associate myself with him anymore. I could not believe a grown man in his 60's rolling his eyes at me. Do u think rolling ur eyes is going to hurt me??? I raised 3 girls..eye rolling doesn't hurt !! But it sure isn't going to make me hurry back to that store and/or be a regular shopper at Food Lion. Actually, I doubt I'll ever be back. Who needs to shop where there are people like that working in the store. Too many grocery stores already just minutes down the street to choose from. Publix falls over themselves going out of their way to greet u, help find what ur looking for or just makes u feel at home. Food City also has friendly courteous associates working to make ur shopping trip pleasant. Ingles is a nice store. I never had to ask for help looking for a product but they're friendly. As I said, many other nice grocery stores close by that I don't have to go...

Let’s start with how I and my clients shop here frequently and have for years. That changes today due to Mr. Eric from the meat counter be was beyond rude with his homophobia towards a wonderful person and it was very unprofessional and quite frankly reflects very poorly on the company! Shame on you guys for allowing someone to represent you in such a horrible way. I completely understand if you don’t agree with the choices someone makes but SHAME on you for making anyone feel any less just because of who they love. Obviously you haven’t been raised right and you deserve to loose your job. If you can’t keep your comments to yourself you don’t deserve a job in this setting. Either accept that others love differently than you or get over it… as far as your comments go do you kiss your granny with that mouth? I hope she takes her bible and smacks you with it a few times as obviously you don’t know this verse Do not judge, or you too will be judged. Prices are as competitive as ALDI when you buy what’s on sale. Additionally the app is super convenient to use, just clip your coupons electronically, then scan your savings card (or enter your phone #) and it automatically takes off the coupons you selected. I love their BOGO sales. The quality of fresh food is excellent, the cashiers are kind and very helpful (a couple times I didn’t have enough money for groceries so they’d help me deduct the expensive items), the variety of brands is good and the Food Lion brand is tasty when you need your money to go farther. I’ve been going here since March of this year and have already saved $400. This company is helping me put food on the table for my kids and I couldn’t be more thankful. Forget Kroger (bad prices), Food City (more bad prices), and ALDI has good prices but limited variety and sometimes not the freshest produce, Food Lion is the best in...
