El Charolais use to be my absolute favorite place. I haven’t been in a while because of time. So I went to treat myself there. Well I found out the prices have gone up about 5 dollars on everything( Covid most likely). Which wasn’t a problem. Okay I ordered a Steak Ranchero and guacamole $30 but received someone else’s Burrito not the problem, mistakes happen, its when I called the person that didn’t seem very concerned said they could take my name for another day or I could come get it. I choose to get it. She said to keep the cheaper order and they would replace my Steak Ranchero. Okay I was thinking okay nice. Well when I went back to get it. I received a very sloppy red sauce steak. The photo on the left is what the website showed ( I usually don’t choose steak) as steak ranchero, the photo on the right is what I was given. I realized they did not care that my order was wrong and also feel I may have bothered them to want it replaced, because it looks like something was thrown together. Although the restaurant was pretty empty at the time I went. I won’t eat what I was given and sadly I’m no longer going back. I’m a reviewer of everything. And I hope this is not their new...
Read moreI ordered takeout which consisted of a small guacamole, small cheese dip, 3 street tacos + extra cilantro + queso fresco cheese on all of the tacos. When my husband went to pick up the order, it was $40!!!!! This place apparently tried to “falsely” charge us $10 something for their table side guacamole because if the prices are as they should be online, this should not add up to $40 even after tax! It shows $5.95 for the cheese dip and $5.95 for the guacamole. It shows $4.65 per taco that I ordered. I have never been charged for extra cilantro anywhere else (which is crazy)! I can’t even believe that they tried to rip us off. That amount is NOT okay and not for the amount of food you get!
Also, whenever we called and asked about Valentino sauce, the lady who took our order immediately assumed we wanted it in a cup and she made certain that it wasn’t something they could do with an attitude! I almost made my husband hang up on her. I’ve never had an issue with getting any in a cup, but to assume and have an attitude? Like.. okay. I was going to see if I could get that put on the tacos since it was something I had forgotten at the last min.
What a shame because this was my first experience with this place and it wasn’t...
