TLDR: Do the gaming community a favor and GO! Young but worth your time!
All, I'm super passionate about new (as of 8/5/25) gaming stores such as this one. If you choose to go, keep in mind that it may not be as polished as more established stores. However, it is so important to encourage a vibrant community among game stores, so I for one ask you to give them a try, tell your friends, and maybe buy a product or two.
As far as the actual store, the owner, Glenn, is very personable and looking to build community. I'd say this is a very live-play, player oriented store, NOT a product-based location (at least not yet). That's a hard thing for small business game stores to establish, so please keep that in mind when writing reviews and visiting. Therefore, if you're looking for a home for your play group, this is an excellent place to visit. There's a lot of slots open in their schedule, so if you want to get a certain game going, I say strike while the iron is hot. In this stage, stores are looking for events to hold. If you're into something and it's not on their schedule, I'd encourage you to inquire about starting something up. The worst they can say is no but you may be pleasantly surprised.
At the end of the day, it's really, really hard to break through in this market, every bit of help makes a huge difference. So if you're looking to grow the tri-cities gaming community, do us all a favor and give them what...
Read moreWalked in and the store has a cool vibe to it. Interior looks cool. They had some really nice older foil cards for MtG.
I would not suggest buying singles here. I walked in, checked out their stock, and then asked the guy at the register if I could get a card on the wall. The card had a price tag on it. He gets it out of the wall case and takes it to the register. He then tells me after I'm waiting to purchase that the card has gone up on its market price and that it will be priced accordingly. I then brought up the price on the card itself, to which it was stated that it was a "reference price".
At no point did he tell me that was what they do. Nowhere on the wall or in front of the cases do they state they will check market price at counter. It felt incredibly scummy to me to do that when I already got my wallet out ready to pay and then they just hike up the price before my eyes. Needless to say, I did not purchase anything, nor will I after...
Read moreInterior and exterior of the store is nice. The owner himself seems nice and is conversational and friendly as expected. Doesn’t change that some of the pricing in store is outside of reasonable ranges in my humble opinion. The young man(not the owner) at the counter in particular seems indifferent and honestly a bit displeased at being there. While offering less of a percentage (55% of lightly played value) for singles they purchase and seeming to have great difficulty identifying cards. All of these things make the atmosphere and floor planning pointless if people won’t return due to service problems. Wish you guys luck and hopefully next time I’m in I can update this with some positive...
