Tortilleria Familiar "El Arriero" — Restaurant in Johnson City

I’ve never been as disappointed with a Mexican restaurant... The first time I had a problem with the food we decided to not say anything. However, this time I decided to order one taco, which are priced at $2.29, and trust me when I said it was the most disappointing taco I’ve ever had. It had about 5 pieces of meat (half of it was fat) and it was tiny. We brought this to the attention of the waitress and she got an attitude and didn’t do anything about it. I decided not to even eat it because I kid you not I would’ve been done with half a bite. We ended up paying for it and when we brought it to the attention of the owner, they didn’t even acknowledge the food or the waitress situation. Needless to say that we won’t be returning and would seriously only recommend going if you are bringing kids that don’t eat much....

Best Authentic Mexican tacos in town. Tortillas are made fresh daily. I usually get either carnitas or lingua (beef tongue, tender and amazingly delicious) and they are amazing!! "Con toda" = "with everything", meaning you get lime wedges, sliced radishes and a grilled onion with your tacos. I came to get some food today and not only was the owner rude but he didn’t even speak or ask if I needed anything. He started speaking Spanish with another woman behind the counter, as a black individual this is the second time I’ve try coming to support small business and was treated poorly.
