I was here on April 28th with my wife, sister, and two nephews.
If you come here. I recommend the unlimited games pass. There are definitely too many games with very substantial maintenance issues in order to deal with not having an unlimited games pass.
Examples of maintenance issues:
Pretty much none of the games have any sound. We could hear Colossus power up slightly on X-men.
For the X-men game. I enjoyed this game a lot when I was growing up and I played it a ton at the Tilt in Fort Henry Mall. I'm very familiar with this game and it was the one we went to play first. Unfortunately; at this establishment, the Cyclops mutant power button didn't work at all. The Wolverine attack button didn't work at all. The Dazzler mutant power button didn't work at all. Night Crawlers' attack button would frequently stick. Colossus and Storm are the only 2 out of 5 that were free from defect. The screen tearing is worse than any game I've ever seen. On the last level there was about 15 seconds that the background doesn't refresh at all and we weren't sure if the game was about to crash on us for the second time. We played this game through until the end.
For Marvel vs Capcom, the player 2 top three buttons didn't work at all.
For Mortal Kombat, the player 1 punch buttons are so sticky they work about 1 time every 2 seconds.
For Galaga, the screen kept displaying the "push start button" when my wife tried to play. She came and got me and I tried to play as well. So, with us both using our unlimited play cards and the arcade machine saying we had credits. We tried 1 player and 2 player but it would keep displaying the "push start button" despite our best efforts.
Sega SR racing player 4 manual gear shift doesn't work. Player 1 doesn't work at all. Player 2 seat latch doesn't lock in place. Out of 4 machines only player 3's machine are free from quality control issues.
TMNT Leonardo buttons stick a lot and are barely payable.
Kids are allowed to slam the arcade buttons ridiculously hard unchecked by their parents or staff. Which explains a lot of the issues we encountered.
I would give an extra star if they at least posted signs warning customers about the machines with issues. So those without unlimited passes don't have to constantly go to the desk to get refunds on games they couldn't play or enjoy due to technical issues.
We ultimately left when a teenage girl started screaming at the top of her lungs and acting crazy playing the Terminator Salvation game. This girl was extremely over the top. The arcade had their front door open and we could still hear this girl screaming once we were out in the parking lot even when our car doors were closed.
With all that said. I would come here over Tiebreakers Arcade if they would improve their maintenance regimen / quality control and create some house rules for...
Read moreI used to love coming here but lately every time I do. Some of the games are not working or the screen is completely off color. When I mean, Some games are not working. Because there's only maybe 30 games max in there I would say Four or five of them are not working completely. Plus they've raised their price up. And now you cannot play the pinball games on the all day pass. So really, you're only down to 24 games that you can play, and that's about it. Then you have to think about the ones that are broken. So then you might have, like, 18 total that you can play. For what it's worth now I would say. It's completely not like it used to be when it first started. I love seeing old arcades come back. But when it's not like it feels like it used to be. Then they should just go ahead and close this place up Or look for a bigger building and redo it. There is still a lot of spaces where they're at and right next to the same company. That owns them, they could totally redo it. And make it great again, then it would go back to being 4 stars, but as of now, it's going to...
Read moreMy family loves this place. As for me I'm not one to play these types of games but yet I found myself playing a few of them. Previously we visited and they requested mask be worn and they would clean in between players. Visited this past weekend. So many people were inside playing. Half wore mask. Half did not. The staff did. The staff never once cleaned a machine in the 5 hours we were present. The staff was very nice but no precautions to covid 19 were in place except for hand sanitizer stations. One hand sanitizer was mis labeled and smelled like a brewery. Will be back but just wish the staff would be proactive with cleaning the machines in between players or offer wipes so customers can clean before play. No limit on the number of players or rules about how to social distance. Customers gave no regard to leaving a machine empty to...
