I would give this place a zero if I could. Went in to day because I had swelling near my ribs on the right,in addition to the soreness from whatever it is that’s causing it. Took X rays claimed that nothing showed up on them,which I’m having a hard time even believing that due to the swelling on the right I have. Finally seen the NP(which showed no compassion or understanding as far as what’s wrong with me!) she tells me that my right side which bulges out because of the swelling on my right side,IS NO MORE SWOLLEN THAN THE LEFT. REALLY???!!!!!! THE NP NEEDS TO HAVE HER EYES EXAMINED!!!!!’ TO ACTUALLY HAVE THE NERVE TO MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT!!!! I CANT EVEN BELIEVE SHE CALLS HERSELF A “NP” I was told the problem was some medical term she used,I can’t even pronounce the word!!! And still wasn’t buying any part whatsoever that she CLAIMS that’s wrong with me!!!!!! So because of her so called medical term/reason,SHE REFUSED TO PRESCRIBE ANY KIND OF MEDICATION AT ALL THAT COULD ATLEAST HELP THE SWELLING/INFLAMMATION!!!!!! Other than Tylenol and some pain patches that I CAN’T EVEN USE BECAUSE THEY BURN MY SKIN TERRIBLE!!!BECAUSE OF THE KIND SHE PRESCRIBED!!!!!!!! I WAS SO UPSET I DIDNT EVEN WANT TO DISCUSS ANYTHING FURTHER WITH HER!!! I WANTED OUT OF THERE!!!!! SHE DOES NOT CARE IF YOUR SUFFERING IN PAIN OR NOT!!! WILL NOT BE RETURNING BACK THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!! WILL CONTINUE TO SEE MY PRIMARY CARE FROM NOW ON!!! i wish i could give 0 stars cause this place sucks. I came in with throat pain, fever & a cough. they tested me for strep (it was negative) & then they just said it was viral and there was nothing i could do about it (fine). They told me to drink lots of fluids, gargle with salt water & rest, which FYI wasn’t very helpful advice because later that night my throat hurt so bad i couldn’t even sleep. the worst throat pain i’ve ever felt in my life!!! i took a look at my throat because it felt like i was swallowing knives at that point & come to find out my tonsils are HUGE & have white pus on them. 2 DRS SAW THIS & SAID NOTHING AND PRESCRIBED ME NOTHING. they let me leave not even giving me prednisone, they just told me to take advil & nyquil. im currently outside another treatment center on the 4th of july because no one in this facility did their job yesterday. Felt like the staff were a bunch of randos pretending to be drs by the service i received. Absolutely horrific! worst walk in EVER!!!

Update: The DR at the treatment center im currently at said that she’s treating me for pneumonia!!! Again, how they didn’t pick up on that at the Johnston location is beyond me. Im now getting the treatment i need by intelligent drs who actually know what they’re...

I honestly feel bad writing a bad review because the people that work here are super nice, just negligent. I went in yesterday for what I knew had to be strep. I got into the room super fast & got swabbed. A few minutes later the dr came back and told me my results were negative and that they would send my swab for further testing. Initially she told me she wasnt going to prescribe me anything but after saying how much pain I was in she offered to just prescribe me a mouth wash to help numb it and I accepted. I was told "its most likely just a virus. Its going to get worse before it gets better." Then told me to do salt water rinses and take tylenol....

She never ended up prescribing any mouth wash for me and never sent my swabs for further testing. I wasnt able to sleep lastnight and this morning I ended up being in more pain than the day before. So I went to atmed this morning. They swabbed me and in 5 mins I got my results back. Positive for strep.

Long story short, they dont seem very "urgent" to help your concerns. If I just waited it out like I was advised by lifespan, I could have ended up REALLY sick and having to go to the hospital. Just go to atmend instead. If you dont like their wait try going in the early morning when...
