Oh man. I want to like this place so badly but the food was atrocious. drinks are fine, service was good. we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops special, excited because we love bacon wrapped scallops and have had them many times-but never have i had them be the consistency of a rubber boot. it's crazy because i kept trying to eat them anyway, hoping one was done right! but unfortunately they were all so incredibly tough. they are served with a bug pile of buttered spinach in the middle. im not mad at that because i like spinach but i am confused about how that fits the dish. who knows. we also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. The description says "plenty of cheese" but i have to wonder what cheese was used because it was so flavorless-it was more like spinach and cream sauce, very little artichoke and very little flavor. i added salt to help but it still wasn't great. then, the entree. woooof. i ordered the sirloin gorgonzola. it says 12 oz sirloin (so i was expecting a steak, in tact, and cooked correctly). who the heck was cooking? i said i would like it done medium, the steak was cut into thin slices all over the plate, i asked for it to be served over pasta so maybe they thought i could mix it in better that way? either way it was not 12oz but i dont even care about that. what i do care about is that i asked for it to be done medium and it was so well done it was turning grey. i was shocked. so disgusting. the gorgonzola "cream sauce" was just a bunch of clumps of gorgonzola sprinkled all over the place- it's not a sauce if you just throw the cheese on there. it doesnt work that way. there was definitely spinach thats for sure so i guess i have nothing to say about that here other than this place loves to throw you extra spinach for some reason. sundried tomatoes looked questionable but i didnt try them so i have no opinion. out waitress was nice so we explained the situation and i asked if i could get something else. u asked for the blackened chicken alfredo. so right from the start, the chicken was not blackened. it was grilled fine, but little to no blackening seasoning so that's confusing. more spinach again because we didnt have enough spinach yet i guess. it says "diced tomatoes" on the menu and holy crap. i was expecting them diced, as in diced into little squares, but instead they were very very large chunks. it's like if you asked a child to dice a tomato for the first time. they took a tomato and cut it vertically and then horizontally is what it looked like- as if they cut a large tomato into four large chunks. So basically just big, hot tomato chunks thrown all over the pasta. Not some thing that could easily be mixed in or that really fit into the dish. When I say these chunks were big I mean like 3 inches? Weird choice. Definitely not a good choice, and definitely not diced the way any good cook with dice something. OK then so my favorite part is that it says a "rich pink cream sauce." so I assumed this would be Alfredo sauce but pink so maybe it would have some kind of tomato in it that makes it pink. The problem is, it's not an Alfredo sauce to begin with. If it were an Alfredo sauce with some tomato that would be fine, but this was basically a vodka sauce. I even asked the waitress about it and I said is this like a vodka sauce? And she said yeah but without the vodka. I didn't order penne alla vodka. doesn't matter anyway there was no vodka lol but basically this was tomato and some kind of cream, there must've been a little bit of cheese, but a rich cream sauce? definitely not. Very light in flavor, very little cheese must have been used. In order to make it anything like Alfredo it's going to need cheese. They really like to skimp on the cheese in this place and just put cream in instead. it was bad, honestly. I picked out all of the giant tomato chunks because I just couldn't be bothered with trying to cut them up into little pieces and mix them in. It just wasn't worth it. Took it home in a box, and I'm going to have to make some improvements to try to make it...
Read moreMy daughter and I Love to come here because they treat us like family. We have gone here so many times when my daughter was going through a very difficult time with some health issues one of the hostess asked if everything was all right because we haven't been there in a few weeks.
When I had mentioned what we're dealing with just some very difficult news with her health she asked if there was anything she could do?
I had asked her if she could pray and within seconds she came back to the table and let us know that she had already reached out to her family and her friends and employees there.
Also, the Manager is the bartender too she is the sweetest person you'll ever meet other than our own two children her heart is so beautiful ❤️ when we leave she continues to pray for our daughters every time she sees us and when we are not around.
Our oldest loves to see her and they give each other the greatest hugs and she tells me all the time but mostly that she keeps our family in her prayers.
It means more than anything too me! 0 I am a single mom and all the difficult obstacles that I've been dealing with due to her health it's comforting to know there are great people still in this world that care about other people.
They're not there just for the work here they always make us feel like so loved and appreciated all the waitresses are wonderful.
Her favorite waitress is Natalie no matter how busy she is which is always very busy, she always finds time to stop for a few minutes sit next to her and to give her a hug and tell her how much she misses her.
This definitely makes her daughter's day all the I think it's because of the great love that they give her that gives her hope and us hope.
She'll sit and talk with her ask her what's been going on they talk about you know boy issues along with sharing pictures of what they both have been doing since we last seen her.
We just don't call this a favorite restaurant we go because they're so special to us and the food's incredible that's the second reason! This restaurant restaurant we call our second home because they are family.
Food is incredible all the time anything you need they go out of their way. Just always do whatever it takes to make their customers happy and that's why we all keep going back.
We wish them nothing but the best for success the staff to be paid well so this restaurant doesn't lose the best thing that keeps them where they're at today.
God bless everybody there sending lots of Love...
Read moreI used to absolutely love this restaurant; I have been going here since I was 12 without any issues. We even held a banquet here for my dad’s 50th. But today was an absolute nightmare. I brought my mom out for a late Mother’s Day lunch. We were promptly seated by the hostess, she was extremely kind but unfortunately that was the only good part about our dining experience. After sitting for almost 15 minutes, our server finally came over to take our drink orders. My mom had a soda water and I had a water. The waitress dropped the waters off at the table and it spilled a good deal of her soda water all over the mat in front of her. I am a waitress myself and accidents do happen but she never apologized and just left immediately without even acknowledging it happening. From there I ordered the bruschetta and it came out burnt in some areas without any balsamic on it like it said in the menu. I asked her for the balsamic and she gave me a regular bottle of balsamic vinegar. Then she came over 10 minutes after appetizers that letting us know that my meal was out of stock. After how the appetizer went I was no longer hungry so I just shared my moms food. All the other tables received bread around us but she never even offered it. It felt like she was discriminating against us from how we were treated. I look young but as a waitress I tip very well when the service is good because I know personally that waitresses live off tips. But I have never received service this poor in my entire life. When the bill came she charged us $8.95 for soda water which had me shocked to say the least. I had to track her down to get it fixed. Once we got the real bill I found out I was charged for endless sodas for her one soda water. It was $3 just for one soda water off a bar soda gun. I work for one of the most expensive restaurants in Rhode Island and our large glass bottles of sparkling water are only $5. I was tired from everything else that happened and we just paid and left. It breaks my heart but I will never go here again after how we...
