Burlington — Local services in Johnston

Had a very bad experience at this store. I've shopped at the one in Rumford for years and never had an issue. Went to buy comforters, and found 2 on clearance that seemed pretty good. Looked at one closer and it seemed off-color. It should have been white and the edges looked yellowed. I opened it up and it was terribly stained and yellow. OK, it happens. Possibly water damage or sunlight? But, it made me nervous so I opened the other clearance one, too. OMG! It had an empty packing envelope on the outside, so I knew it had been shipped back. Obviously no one ever opened it and inspected it prior to slapping a tag on it and putting it back out on the floor. It was COVERED in black dog hair, stained, and the edges of the batting inside the comforter was stiff and crunchy. It was literally a health hazard. I asked for a manager. The person who helped me went to talk to the manager, and the manager seemed to blow him off until he said, loudly, "It's a health hazard!". Then he came over and looked at it with me, but didn't take it off the floor. My husband and I were so grossed out we put back our other items and left with nothing. One dirty blanket is forgivable, but 2 in a row? With the possibility of fleas or bed-bugs, or urine soaked...

Hey, I have been going to Burlington for years but never had interacted with any employee from the store itself with rudeness and the worst possible behavior. I recently moved from TX and my husband is in Military due to which we do respect the timings appropriately, the store was suppose to be closing at 10 and it was 15 -20 mins prior that this lady came with the worst possible attitude stating " head towards the cash counter now or you can't buy anything as we have to be out right after we close and you have to leave your belongings and come back tomorrow". I was in at 9:06 pm and left at 9:58 pm, I do understand and respect everyone has their personal life, but if you are working in retail or customer service there are some work ethics that needs to be followed. Worst experience ever, first and the last time at this store for sure, just moved and already disappointed with the behavior and attitude coming from this lady at Burlington. I really hope the upper management will take some...

How this location has a 4.1 rating is beyond me. This location is close to my house and it used to be a great store. The past 2 years has gown SO far down hill. Always a mess, Always has an off smell. It seems the only sizes they carry are large and extra large (There are small and medium people who live in Johnston, RI). And the racks always seem empty, the Men's Suit section, if your lucky enough to find your size, you then realize that the jacket is a different brand then the pants and do not match! Today I attempted to get a quick pair of work boots.. Lucky if there were any men's shoes at all. And the one pair I found in my size section, wasn't my size!!! This was my last attempt in this store... The Management should take some lessions from the Attleboro, Ma store. It's a drive for me, but if in the area, always have what I am...
