La Nuova Pizzeria — Restaurant in Johnston

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Nuova Pizzeria, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish!... When I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor had a charming rustic vibe with cozy lighting that made it feel both relaxed and vibrant. It was the perfect setting for a casual dinner with friends... the food 😋 We started with an appetizer of garlic knots, which were soft, buttery, and packed with flavor. They were served with a marinara sauce that was simply divine. For the main course, I ordered the pepperoni and bacon 😋, and I can confidently say it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The crust was perfectly crisp and had just the right amount of chewiness. The combination of fresh mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil created a symphony of flavors that was absolutely mouthwatering... My friends opted for the Buffalo chicken calzone, and they raved about how generous the toppings were and how the flavors complemented each other beautifully. We also shared a side salad, which was fresh and had a nice tangy dressing that balanced the richness of the food 😋... The service was exceptional. Our server Farah was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. She checked in on us at just the right times, making sure our glasses were full and we were enjoying our meal. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in providing excellent customer service, by the way she was doing everything as big boss as she loves her job not just a server... To top off our meal, we couldn’t resist trying their dessert menu. We shared a slices of their famous peanut butter cookies, and chocolate cookies and brownies, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our meal—light, sweet, and not overly sweet... Overall, my experience at La Nuova Pizzeria was fantastic. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a lovely atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in the area. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu! I highly recommend La Nuova Pizzeria to anyone looking for an outstanding pizza...

My friend accidentally left her wallet here and we’re assuming one of the employees stole it because the way the situation was handled was so sketchy. She never went anywhere else that day so it was the only place it could be; she had it in her hand when she walked in and paid.. and as soon as she got home and went to grab it, it wasn’t there.. logically she left it at the pizza place. Nobody did anything about it. When she called, they told her they’d have the owner “check the cameras” when the owner was in, but never got in touch with her again. Instead, when she called again to see what happened, they basically shrugged her off like it wasn’t their problem. Especially during a pandemic when local business’ want support, you’d think they would be more sympathetic or have the manager/ owner call her personally to even apologize and assure her they checked the camera. She shouldn’t have had to call multiple times for them to give her the runaround. Me and all my friends will never come here after...

Food is great but experience as of late with staff and pricing there has been left much to be desired. I visited almost a month ago and there was a $9 difference between prices shown on their menu boards and what I was charged. Upon asking questions I was told a digital menu update was being done and the prices reflected on my bill are the new prices. A month later the update still is not done and they are still charging far over prices that are displayed in house stating paper menu prices are correct. Being in food service with digital menu boards it doesn't take this long to do so it simply is not being treated as a priority. I have dealt with customers being upset over discrepancies in menu versus charged prices and in my decade plus of experience it is always to meet the customer with apologies and explanation instead of hostility and/or to honor the most visibly...
