The only good thing about this place is the delicious food. I wish I could've tipped just the chef I had for hibachi tonight. Tried booking an online reservation which is an option on their website for a 6pp and got denied. Called to see if I could put in the reservation on the phone and whoever I was on the phone with told me "NO RESERVATIONS WALK IN ONLY" So I asked her "are you busy for a party of 6 around 6pm?" She said "no we're not busy". I arrive with my party and the hostess tells us she can't sit us because they're "booked with reservations for Hibachi for the rest of the night". My group was confused considering I was told no reservations allowed and politely asked how long for a wait (not once did we say we had a problem with waiting for a table). Then the hostess says that she can sit us immediately because they have a reservation that doesn't arrive until 6:30. We get sat and not even 2 minutes after we sit our waitress comes over and asks if we're ready to put in our Hibachi order without even asking us to start with drinks. None of us were ready to order so she left the table, again, without offering to get us drinks while we decide. The waitress returns not even another 2 minutes later and says to us "Okay I need to take your food order NOW because the other reservation is here." At this point I was pretty upset because it wasn't our problem you sat us before a reservation. We didn't ask or behave rudely to the staff demanding a table sooner and had no problem waiting. They decided to sit us immediately and had no right to try and make us feel rushed for time. Also the resturant was not very busy there were 3 empty hibachi stations avaliable when we sat and the other table they were supposedly rushing us for didn't walk in until 6:30. We also had to ask and wait for silverware to be brought to us even after she had brought us our salads. Will look elsewhere for Hibachi which is a shame cause the food is...
Read moreOne of the worst Hibachi restaurant I've been to. Where to start... we had reservations for 8 of us for 630, we got there by 6:25 and they didn't sit us till 6:45 so that wasn't too big of a deal. After being seated the waitress came over and took our drink order and and order for and appetizer within 5 mins. Drinks came out about 5 mins later then the app in about 10 mins. She then took our orders and went away. We sat there for about 40 mins and never saw our waitress again. We all needed refills for our drinks we had to flag down another waitress to get them. Our food finally came out 5 mins later with the cook. They messed up 2 of the orders.. so 2 people where missing their steak and had to wait another 10 mins for it to be brought out and cooked. I've been to quite a few Hibachi restaurant and the cook are very entertaining and this was the most boring cook ever. So after we all finish eating we wait there for about 15 mins for the waitress to bring our check and again she is a no show. My wife had to go and ask for it. After receiving our check we then wait for about 15 mins to have someone check us out and again no show from anyone. I had to go and get her to check us out. She takes the check to go check us out and that take 10 mins. We did not leave the restaurant till 9:45. Three hour it took for a meal and to cash out is unacceptable. We will not be going back there. The only reason I gave it one star is because I had to to...
Read moreI'm happy this is not the only hibachi spot in Rhode Island because they have capitalized on quantity over quality. If you enjoy sitting elbow to elbow with the people at the table next to you, then this is the spot to go. If you like having to yell at the people at your table in order to hear one another, then this is the place to go. We had 2 vegetarians in our party, including a child who wanted white rice with a scambled egg... the same as is used in fried rice. They would not accommodate the request. The other vegetarian asked for a tofu stir fry, and they also DENIED the request with some ridiculous excuse that the tofu was only used for their miso soup. The manager was completely dismissive. Additionally, this restaurant seems to hold a couple of hundred people and only has a 2 stall bathroom for women! One of those stalls had overflowed, and there was nasty toilet water all over the bathroom floor for some time before it was attended to. The smell was horrendous, and it required you to walk through the mess to get to the working stall. How they "attended" to it was to have a few bus boys and the dismissive manager put a "wet area" caution sign to prop the door open, which led to the smell pouring out into the hallway, right next to the sushi area. Needless to say, they have lost the business of quite a few people since our party was relatively large. Definitely NOT...
