Potbelly — Restaurant in Joliet

I love potbelly and was so excited when they opened up right by my house but this location is horrible. I have had three encounters with the same "manager" matt and now I will officially not go back. The first time I order a sandwich with everything and tomatoes on the side.. I drove all the way home and the sandwich was plain no cheese with tomatoes on the side. I drove back to the location and asked to speak with a manger and Matt came up.. never apologies for messing up the sandwich and tells me he can either make it correctly or give me my money back but not both. So I just had to drive home and all the way back for what I came here for the first time great! Second time I call and placed an order for 6 sandwiches interesting enough Matt is taking the order I start to tell him what I want and he proceeds, very annoyed, to let me know next time I need to call when they first open if I would like to place a "catering order" I explained I just need 6 subs and he tells me that this is the lunch rush and it's going to take two hours by the way the person picking up the order was all ready in the parking lot and they had two customers in the resturant and none in drive thru. I told him I didn't appreciate his attitude and that I was sorry to inconvenience him and his business and I would go else where weirdly enough the lunch rush ended and he could make the sandwiches. My last experience I went yesterday and ordered a sandwich threw the drive thru it was repeated back to me and was correct I get to the window and what do you know it's Matt. I get home, after pulling back through and getting the hot peppers on the side that weren't there, and the food is wrong after repeating it back completely correct. I threw it out as I knew what would happen if I went back, nothing! Won't be back to try again and hopefully you won't either. Horrible customer service and you never get...

I won't recommend this location. It's the location closest to my house, but will avoid it like the plaque. They have never been able to prepare my sandwich as ordered. The times I have returned to get my order correct instead of preparing a new sandwich, they only offer to remove the ingredients off the sandwich. If I wanted those ingredients on my sandwich and didn't mind the bad after taste. I would have ordered it that way. Only after talking to the manager do they prepare a new sandwich. Then they may offer you a free sandwich for a future visit. I don't want anything for free I want my sandwich prepared correctly the first time and not have to explain or argue with people to have my sandwich...

This is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest Potbelly location I've ever been to. I don't get down this way much, generally only when I'm on my way to The Forge (like I am today).

It's Friday night at 5pm and I'm the only one here. I walked in, ordered my sandwich, paid, sat down and ate and I'm still by my lonesome, writing this review.

The employee that took my order (A Wreck) and my payment was incredibly polite and the other employee that finished my sandwich was too.
